Plot-
On a remote island, a wealthy entrepreneur secretly creates a theme park featuring living dinosaurs drawn from prehistoric DNA. Before opening the attraction to the public, John Hammond invites a top paleontologist, a paleobotanist, a mathematician/theorist, and his two eager grandchildren to experience the park -- and help calm anxious investors. However, their park visit is anything but tranquil as the park's security system breaks down, the prehistoric creatures break out, and the excitement builds to surprising results. Will everyone survive long enough to escape the rampaging dinosaurs? Or will everyone fall prey trying to find a way out? [Plot Summary (C) to Robert Lynch]

- This roleplay is slightly advanced, which means no less than a paragraph of decent grammar and spelling. Any less will automatically end up with a warning.
- I don't want to see too many of one type of dinosaur. There need to be a reasonable amount of raptors, however, but only ONE Spino and ONE T-Rex. I may change this rule as the roleplay progresses.
- No g-moding or powerplaying. Everyone should know this rule. If not, it's an automatic warning.
- Don't make your character perfect. Nobody's perfect. Create some flaws in your character's personality or physical ability, it makes things more fun.
- Please used proper punctuation. It makes things easier to read and understand.
- You may have up to 3 characters (one human and two dinos), but be sure you can handle them. Everyone needs at least one human character. It makes the roleplay fun and dramatic. :]
- Please keep on-topic. I will allow a few things slide, like another dinosaur attacking your dionosaur and them fighting but then having a secret love life with it. No. this would result in a warning.
- There will be swearing in this roleplay. I will not allow the swearing to go overboard. That will result in two warnings or being kicked out of this roleplay. We use '*' instead of typing the whole word.
- No whining or complaining when nobody posts. This will be a steady-moving roleplay, meaning that nobody is rushed to post. However, if a user does not post within a week, without any information PMed to me, that user will be taken out of the roleplay. We don't need dead characters taking up vacant slots.
- If you grow tired of the roleplay or are too busy to take part in it, PM me why you're leaving in a sincere manner. Having an attitude will be reported to the Mods. If you have read the rules, post "Dino rampage" on your bio post.
- Please enjoy yourselves. We don't make roleplays just to waste time. We put effort in typing posts and interacting with other members. that's what roleplays are for. ;]

Personality: Erin Hughes has a surprising wild spirit. She holds an enormous amount of pride and has a strong sense of self determination. She will stop at nothing to reach her goal and is a born leader. Erin cares for anyone and everyone, whether they are injured or an outcast. She is a mildly solitary person, but having a young spirit she is very energetic. Living with her father all her life, Erin is as much of a tomboy as a female can get. She has no sense of comedy, when it comes from her at least. She is a tough girl, one whom shows no fear (when she's actually scared) and sticks up for her friends and family. She's a fair and calm person, meaning she tries to keep everyone at peace when the time calls for it, although her rather shy and stubborn personality holds her back. Erin is the one to hold small grudges and does not take a promise lightly. Being very defensive, even over the smallest of things, she is protective of whom she loves and what she owns, which may prove difficult to cope with. Although, in general, Erin is pretty likeable and easy to befriend.
History: Erin has loved dinosaurs all her life and worked as a young girl with her father, who was also a paleontologist. For more than 20 years, Erin has dug up dinosaur bones and studied all about the prehistoric creatures. Now she looks forward to investigate Jurassic Park and analyze its contents.

That is until the scientists decided it's best for him to be with his own kind; from then on he's lived in a huge enclosure with plenty of room to run and other velociraptors to live with.
Other: On his way to become the leader of the pack, in a fight for dominance, Steel has three scars across his face and his back.

Not really being rude or anything like that but i'm curious as to how this is a remix, the plot is the same as the film/book really

You really shouldn't post anything like this unless you're interested in joining the rp. You should have PMed.

But to answer your question, a remix doesn't necessarily mean the plot has to be different. In this case, only the original cast is played by one's own character(s) and the plot may have many twists and turns, making it different than the original movie/book.

Dino Rampage


Name: Benjamin David Tyson(His 'real' name is Beziar Duraize Tye, but seeing as I made him human I decided to Earthinize his name.)
Nickname: Ben. He just goes by Ben, or Mr. Tyson if he's around up-tight fancy people.
Age: Probably older then he looks.
Gender: Male.
Appearance:
He's tall... really tall, and pretty muscular. He doesn't dress for occasion, but for comfort, even though he's as rich as you wouldn't believe and comes from a line of royalty over in Europe.(AND: His hair is longer then it is in the picture... It's like, down to his shoulders and he doesn't always brush it so it's often messy.)
Personality: He's a pretty laid back guy, even though he can have a temper if you nudge him the wrong way. Often times, his mood and attitude depend on the situation and his company, but he's usually pretty friendly, and always optimistic... although he's not always ready to work. Once he gets a good reason, he'll do what's needed of him. If he's ever annoyed, though, he's more stubborn then a mule. On those occasions, you better give him a **** good reason to work. He does have his moments when he either zones out, or else gets as testy as a elephant during musk season, but usually he keeps himself in check. He has no great love of the high-life, prefering to be wherever he can enjoy himself or just have some fun.
History: Born into a rich family and big house, Ben was pampered most of his life growing up, but he got bored of that life: he was an unruly child, and when he got himself expelled from private school and went to a public school, he fell head over heals for a girl his parents greatly disapproved of. The annoyence his parents held for him was mutual, most of the time, and even though he had access to plenty of money, he always choose to work for his own cash... even if he was lazy and often didn't listen. He ended up getting married to his schoolhood girlfriend, but that didn't last long, so he went crawling home to mom and dad. A summary of things after that is that; unappreciative of their disappointment in him, he moved away with all the money he'd earned and saved up, and started his own small company in America where he lives comfortably. He's quite the talented guy when he puts his mind to something, the problem is getting him to do it. He's pretty much a do-what-he-wants kind of guy, and it gets him in trouble alot.
Profession: Although he has many talents, he excels in none, except perhaps fulfilling plans laid out by others for him... Unless he has something to gain by doing something himself. The fact he's the manager of a small chain of stores is an example of this: He needed money, so he found a way to get it.
Other: He has ADD, a lot of friends in high places with big sway, and is pretty much a closeted animal rights activist. He likes to have a good time, and that coupled with his high friends is probably one of the reasons he's come to Jurassic Park: He's always had an interest in prehistoric beasts. He doesn't do things for appearence, having had enough of that back with his parents.

Ben grinned to himself, excitement vibrating through every little cell of his body. Or maybe it wasn't the excitement. Maybe it was the thrumming of the helicopter's rotating blades... Either way, today was the day.

'Jurassic Park,' he thought, 'Here I come.' He'd heard whispers of Jurassic Park long before he actually recieved offical word of it, yet all this time it hadn't seemed real. Until today. Here he was, Ben D. Tyson, about to see dinosaurs. /Living/ dinosaurs. It was like a childhood dream come real.

'Infact...' he thought, gazing out the window of the chopper as they neared a large, exotic island, 'It just might be a dream come true...' His gaze went distant as he thought back, but with a sharp breath he tore himself back into the present, sensing something bad in what he was trying to look at. D*** those sixth senses of his.

He tapped his fingers on the glass, absently, before turning to look at the other invitees. And for the first time, he actually paid attention and he realized something. He was the only man. Oh, if this wasn't going to be interesting... His rich blue eyes took in the two children first, then Erin and Rose. Two rather fine looking women, if he must say so himself... Still, his eyes drifted away with his thoughts.

To think... He was soon to witness some of the greatests beasts to ever walk the Earth. Of course, he'd read about many, but to actually go and see them? He shivered, grinning to himself and revealing unnaturally long canines.(No, he's not a vampire, but as his original, not Earthern self is a vampire...)
