Dear everyone,
I would like to annouce that the famous Jade Goody , mother of two, has died of cancer (She died in the night, see facts for more details) on Mothers day.

She had fought the Cancer so hard so she could see her two sons on Mothers day, but this was not be - Just a month after her and her Husband Jack Tweed got married, her body finally gave up it's race to stay alive. I heard this news after Match of the Day had finished, when they annouced it on BBC Breakfast.

Goody died in her sleep at home at 3.41 am on 22 March 2009; Mothering Sunday in the UK. Her mother Jackiey, husband Jack Tweed, and family friend Kevin Adams were by Jade's bedside when she died.

--FACTS--
Born: 5 June 1981
Died: 22 March 2009 (At 3:14 GMT)
Birthplace: Bermondsey, London, England, UK (I use to live there)
Nationallity: British/English
Religious beliefs: Christian
Known for: Big Brother
Occupation: Businesswoman and Television personality
Husband: Jack Tweed (February 2009 – March 2009)
Children: Bobby Jack Brazier (born: 2003) and Freddie Brazier (born: 2004)
Parents: Jackiey Budden and Andrew Goody.

So lets all remember the Good times with Jade Goody! Lets Celebrate her wonderful life! Forget the bad times! And remember the good!

R.I.P Jade Cerisa Lorraine Goody

DO NOT flaim this topic! This is a topic about a death and does NOT deserve to be dis-respected in any sort of way.

I listened on TV about her story D: it's very sad...plus the thing that made me shocked is that they told her about her Cancer on TV when everyone could listen...these are private things!
I hear this morning about her death.

It's a shame when anyone dies, regardless of whether or not they are famous.

However, from what I read about Jane Goody, after not knowing anything about her (and not having an opinion either way), since she is a British actress who doesn't seem to enjoy much fame or popularity over here in the U.S., she doesn't sound like someone who's life ought to be celebrated.

It's a shame for her family that they've lost her. But I see no need to celebrate the life of someone who came under such controversy (especially things she could not deny). However, out of respect for the deceased, I will not go into it. The details are easily available on the internet.

Your talking about her Remark to Shilpa Shetty, which I find the world over-reacted on and never deserved to be hated like she was, if it was up to me, calling someone "Shilpa Poppadom" and calling it Racist is stupid, she didn't exactly say "OMG SHUT UP SHILPA S***TY YOU INDIAN ******* ***** **** Exc.", I've always liked Jade and wish her the best wherever she is.

I am referring to several things I read about. However, I didn't say what I did to spark a debate about it. I simply said that, given her activities on television, and the things she's known to have said, I don't see her as someone to celebrate. It's a shame that she lost her battle with cancer. It really is. But just because someone battled cancer, and was famous, those aren't reasons in of themselves to celebrate a person's life. Millions of people battle cancer every day...many die. It's ALWAYS sad. That we should hold one person to a somehow nobler standard (especially this person) - simply because they were famous and able to hypothetically draw more attention to cancer than the average citizen who goes through the very SAME things (and has far less money to battle it) - is, to me, silly.

In some aspects, I agree wth that statement, we shouldn't single out one person with Cancer, but thats practicly what every single news tabloid/news paper has done.

Do you know the old saying, popular with so many mothers across the western world, "if they jumped off a bridge, would you do it too"?

I've heard this being said, ALOT. And most of the time, depending on what the cause was, and who they where talking about, it would actually be a "yes".

How nice for you then. Let's conclude this little debate you've drawn me into. Because, in point of fact, most people would most likely say "no".

Yes, I get the point mypour making.

However this is headline news in the UK, and i'm a fan of Jade (Well, I like her, i'm not like "Omg Jade Ily!"). So I thought I should post a topic to remember Jade.

This.
Basically.

It's really is very sad she got cancer and couldn't survive it. Really is.
I didn't much like Jade Goody though. Plus - that whole thing with Shilpa, was a disgrace. I wish they'd charged Jade with racism tbh (and yes - it was and is racist).

Nonetheless. I shan't be ranting and raving about it now, her family definately don't deserve to have people spouting their views about her all over the place because it is sad and they'll be deeply upset.

What kind of cancer did she have?

I believe she had Cervical Cancer.

Stephan(sp?) Fri called her another version of Princess Diana, she has helped many people, and will help many more.

This has raised awareness of Cervical cancer, and this makes Jade Goody a legend.

No, she should not of been charged with Racism, the British and Indian public/Governments overreacted horrificly, she could of said alot more things about her - And calling her "Shilpa Popperdom", racist? More like THE most hillarious sentence ever broadcasted on Big Brother - But the FIRST thing Shilpa S***ty says about Jade is "I know we had a bad past", constantly bringing it up, all Shilpa wanted is "£££".
