Okay, I'll post a pic of bird and you guess what it is. Later I'll post another pic of a bird and tell who gets it right.

Remember, I want the full name, like you say Common Loon not just Loon. No Latin names!

Round 1:

Ruby Throated Hummingbird

Winners: Aloha Aleu

Answer: Rudy-throated Hummingbird
They are the only hummingbird in east of North America. They have long bills to get food from flowers. Females look just like the male acpect the for the ruby throat. Rudy-throated Hummingbirds seem to be attacted to the color red.

Round 2:

Cardinal

Winners: Angelic Wolf

Answer: Northren Cardinal.
It's state bird of most states in the US. The cardinal's beak is used for cracking seeds. Also its song is well known, pretty pretty birdy birdy.

Robin

Answer: American Robin
These birds lay blue eggs and eat earthworms, insects, and berries. Berries are their main winter food. They're in the same family as thurshes. There are other tpyes of robins, like the Clay-colored, European, and White-thorated Robin.

Round 4:

This should be easy.

Ostrich.

Correct.

Ostriches are the biggest birds in the world but can't fly because they are so heavy. But they are really fast when running. They live in Africa and humans their will sometimes take their egg for food.


Famous for their feathers.
