I found this today :
http://www.videobusiness.com/article/CA6286493.html
Quote: Universal Studios Home Entertainment Family Productions hasn’t set an exact date or even a final name for the next DVD premiere movie in the Bring It On franchise, but the studio is spending $8 million to produce it and will spend about $10 million to market it sometime early next year.
With the working titles of Bring It On 3/Bring It On Yet Again, the third movie in the cheerleader comedy series will be the first major new release from the reconfigured unit under general manager and executive VP Glenn Ross. He said the studio is gearing up to release four to six live-action and animated DVD premiere movies a year for the family market alone.
Universal has made a serious commitment to DVD premieres, he said, focusing on mainstream brands that have the potential to be a meaningful business for retailers. In addition to continuing the longest-running animated DVD premiere series late next year with the 12th movie in the Land Before Time franchise, which will precede a new LBT cartoon series in 2007, the studio will release an animated DVD premiere movie version of Curious George to follow the studio’s theatrical adaptation early next year and timed to best exploit Universal’s PBS cartoon series of the mischievous monkey next fall.
That commitment to DVD premieres extends to improving the quality of the productions, beginning with the cast and crew, Ross noted.
4 to 6...Unless they make new licenses for new direct to video titles, it leaves a good chance to see a Balto 4 in the two or three next years.
For now, they have announced three animated direct to video titles : one for Land before time 12 in 2007, one for curious george and one for an old license that I don't remember the name.

That sounds very hopefull. But I hope that if there is a 4th one that it will wrap up all the other three- so as not to leave a series-like end, and not to make Balto as crazy as LBT.

Togo wrote: Very good found Steet, this is the second time you post an article about a possible Balto 4. It sounds very good to me, especially the last sentence (if I didn't misunderstand).
Maybe, I still fear that they will only focus on one or two licenses (such as Land before time and Curious George) and only release products for these ones...and nothing for the others that are less popular (such as Balto)
This is what they seem to be doing : LBT TV series + new merchandises products + DTV sequel in 2007, Curious george animated film on theaters + TV series + DTV sequel...Wow, didn't even notice that they will make all that until I've written it Do Curious George really need a DTV sequel, since the original isn't even released and they are making a TV series??

Anyway, I would like to notice that :
Quote: but the studio is spending $8 million to produce it and will spend about $10 million to market it sometime early next year.
More money for marketing than for producing?? Well considering that the Balto DTV sequels got next to zero money for marketing, it's still a step up...
