Favourite Soundtrack

OK, I browsed around, but I found no topic like this. Sorry if there already is one.

The title says it all; What's your favourite soundtrack?

For me, it's easy: Meet the Robinsons.

Yay for Danny Elfman who composed this beautiful score! I succed (Sp?) to make a score, who mix 'Crazy' with 'Really Emotional'. It's truly amazing. My fav. scores from the soundtrack, is To the future!, The Prologue and Pop Quiz And The Time Machine Montage.

But the soundtrack does not just include all the scores. There are The Future Has Arrived by All American Rejects, Another Believer by Rufus Wainwright, The Motion Waltz (Emotional Commotion) also by Rufus Wainwright, There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow by They Might Be Giants, Kids of The Future by Jonas Brothers, Give Me The Simple Life by Jamie Cullum, Where Is Your Heart At? also by Jamie Cullum and at last, but not least; Little Wonders by Rob Thomas.

Out of the songs on the soundtrack, there is NO doubt about wich one is my favourite:

Little Wonders by Rob Thomas.

It have become my favourite song. <3 It's lyrics are so true and pure, and it makes me feel really good. <3

Even though the song This Much Fun by Cowboy Mouth was used in the trailer, it's not on the soundtrack or in the film.

I feel a little unfair, because I pic my favs on the soundtrack. I love the whole thing! <3

^ If you scroll down, there is a music player of some sort. If you push the 'Play' button, you can listen to parts of the songs and scores. ;]

Happy Posting!

Meet the Robinsons belongs to Walt Disney/William Joyce. The Original Motion Picture soundtrack belongs to Walt Disney Records.

One of my favorite themes is the Top Gun Anthem. Now, I've never seen this movie before and the only reason I even know of this song is because of Guitar Hero III (or was it II?) But I adore this piece so much. It's just amazing, really.

I have a lot of soundracks that I love, however. Some are from musicals and some from movies. I can't really assign a favorite status to any of them, besides maybe my Wicked soundtrack, but even that ties with RENT. (Go figure, both have Idina Menzel in them).

A movie soundtrack that I really love, though, is Pirates of the Caribbean. I'm not sure why, but I love the music in that. I always have, too. It's just amazing. Then again, I love orchestral stuff more than lyrical music in movies (unless it's a musical like RENT, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, and the likes).

Well, I must say that The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers was a great soundtrack!

However, after listening to some samples of others on iTunes, I will have to add the soundtracks of Slumdog Millionaire and Defiance. Honestly, they sure weren't nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Score for no reason!

And as much as I liked the soundtrack of Defiance, Slumdog Millionaire was amazing. But I'd suggest watching the movie before you get the soundtrack.

My favorite was the Sonic Adventure soundtrack 'cause not only were all the songs great but there were over 70

My favorite from a movie is a three-way tie between Sunshine and Balto and Lion king.

I'm really curious about Slumdog Millionaire. I heard it won 8 Oscars, so it almost have to be good. xD

I have a small list of them because I can never decide on one, XD.

Movies

-Balto: Reach for the Light and Heritage of the Wolf (everyone loves this one, <3) are my favs.
-Bolt: Not much of a fan for the country stuff in it, but the scores are excellent, like Rescuing Penny.
-The Lion King: Every song is great on this soundtrack, =D.
-All Dogs Go To Heaven 1 and 2: I sing along to both soundtracks quite often, ^_^.
-Oliver and Company: "Why Should I Worry?" still remains my favorite lyrical song from Disney.

TV

-Wolf's Rain: AMAZING soundtrack! I use many songs for inspiration to make my own songs, <3.

Games

-Sonic the Hedgehog: I'll group all this together, since I love many, many songs from a lot of different games. I really love Sonic 2's, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, and some other ones like Sonic and the Black Knight (not that great of a game, but excellent soundtrack)
-Zelda: They never seem to be bad, ^_^. There also is always that one song that always grabs me like Gerudo Valley, Dragon Roost Island, and so on.
-Okami: Another awesome soundtrack with many memorable songs.

Most of the music I listen to are from soundtracks it seems anymore. There's just something about them that makes them way more enjoyable than I guess "normal music". I like to have music that fits to something or has a big theme, =D.

The Clockwork Orange soundtrack. Nothing like hearing classical music redone with a synthesizer.
