Plot

Three brothers who where as close as close can come. Midnight, the eldest born at the strike of midnight with a pelt as black as the night like their father. Shade, the second born who is the exact image of their grey mother. And Emuku the youngest who looks more like their great-great-grandfather the greatest leader to ever come to the forest, a white wolf with eyes that shined green. They where together for everything, even when a bear attacked Emuku taking his left eye. But when Midnight and Shade get into an argument after their parents die the two brothers part ways. Emuku wishing to stay out of the argument becomes a loner. Now two years later Midnight and Shade meet once more and war breaks out. Midnights pack ageist Shade's. But when the children of Emuku,Shade, and Midnight meet and become the best of friends they have to find a way to end the war before it gets out of hand. But to do that the six of them must find a way to get Emuku to finally take a stand for he in the only one who has a chance at ending the war.

History: She is highly respected in teh pack although she hates it and the fact that she is meant to lead the pack once she's old enough. She ahs run away multiple times but always either goes home or is found.

Emuku padded threw the unclaimed territory he and his pups called home. It had been 2 long years seance...seance he and his own brothers had parted. His home was on the border of the 2 territory's. This small fact made his life hard. And when the war had come as his two older brothers faced off, Emuku lost his mate. She had ran into the wrong wolves as they where fighting with other wolves. She was mistaken as an enemy and killed. That was 8 months ago. And Emuku had only told his pups the sad fact that their own uncles where fighting when their mother died. But he told them that even after what had happened he forgave his brothers and wished his pups to do so as well. They seamed to take it hard at first, but they did forgive them. Perhaps if their parent's hadn't died like they did then they would still be friends. But now this war seamed to hide the fact that they where of the same blood. Not to mention both his brothers had wanted him to fight with them. But he refused and they fought each other without him. If Emuku could have one thing that was reasonable to have happened, it would have been that his two pups could have meet their uncles before the war. When they where still happy, still brothers. Emuku let out a sorrowful sigh. But he pushed the deep hurt aside and followed his pups as they hunted.

Kallen trotted beside her older brother Connor. This was the first time their father was taking them hunting, and Kallen was eager to take down her first deer with Connor. Her ears pricked up. She heard her father sighing. This brought a stab of pain to her heart. Her father was probly thinking about their Uncles and the horrible war they were fighting. Kallen couldn't belive that two brothers could fight so feircly. It was horrible and she knew how much it hurt her father, but there was nothing she could do. " Come on! I see some fresher tracks!" Kallen told Connor trying to dragger her thoughts from the war.

Shade sat silently on top of a old stump, which had been cutten down years an years agom when humans dared to step on this fierce wolves territroy. If someone did, they would be ripped to shreads right here, and the would eat him, just leaveing his bones for any other creature who wanted them. It may soon horrid to you, but it was good to the pack. One less human in the world trying to attack inncoent wolves. Sure there was war coming for the wolves, but that wasn't any threat to the humans, so they usually continued trying to kill to dog-like creatures. He sighed. He was deep in thought, if anyone someone sneaked up on him, he would probably bounce out of his fur....

Shadow pounced on his father's (Shade) tail, making him jump just like he thought he would. "I scared ya, huh dad?" He asked, a playful tone in his voice. His tounge hanged out of his mouth. "C'mon, lets go play!" He didnt get a reply. "Geez. Your no fun." He said, padding away. He was gonna go find his sister which was useless, cause he left her off with them playing hide and seek, and he could never find her, and he got board, so he left her. He sighed as he bounced up onto a stump ptting himself on his hind legs to see if he could find his sister, Kara, anywhere. Once again he failed, and pranced off to find someone else to play with- that wont growl at him.

Kara also soon got board waiting for her brother, Shadow to find her, so he went off to play in a nearby creek, placing her plaw in it, forcing it to be wet. It was tempting to just bounce in for a swim, but her dad probably wouldnt let her. "Geez. Why does dad hae to be so strict?!?" She asked herself, she almost wished she had a diffrent dad. "Na, no oher dad would be as good as him. Even if he is mean, and strict and he loves mom just as-" She stopped there. Then Kara rememebred, her mother was no loner living. Her father told her just to let it go, head into the future, but that wasn't possible for her, she could never let go of the past.

Shasta pounced on Midnight, giggling.

Bic:// Conner grinned at his sister and flicked her side with his tail. He smiled at his sister sadly as he remembered thought of the war as well. If it came anywhere near his fmaily, he knew he'd fight to teh best of his abilities to procect and defend his younger sister. Though he was only a little bit older than her, his personality made him seem even older. He was very protective and kind towards her, even though he was kind to others as well but he wasn't near teh way he was to Kallen. "All rihgt," he told her, twitching an ear, his eyes gleaming. "Let's go. Race ya." He took off, though making sure he wasn't going too fast and that she would end up beating him in the end.

Lily pounced on Midnight as well, chewing on his ear. Her paws slid down his back as he shook hsi head roughly, trying to get her off so he could talk with his adviser. She slid onto teh ground and gazed up at him. "Pappa? Are you okay?" She nosed his paw but he moved it away from her and growled, telling her that he was to be left alone with his advisors while they discussed the war. Her eyes hardened, her ears pressed against teh top of her head, as she stalked away angrily. She sat down with a hmph! and scoffed lightly. Her father was always working on war things. it was all he ever thought about! She heard teh sound of hooves adn looked up, alarmed, her ears pricking up. Curious, Lily powled into the trees, her body engulfed by the huge ferns she padded through. She saw a deer racing through the trees and cocked her head. Curious by the over-whelming smells, she ventured further, even though he father would be furious. If he payed enough attention to notice anyway.

Midnight spoke in soft tones to his adviser. "No," he said, "that would tell Shade somethign was up. I mean, of course something's up but if we're going to do this, we're going to do it right!" He glanced back at Shasta with hard eyes. "Go! Leave me, son, and let me speak in peace without your playful teeth digging into my flesh every time I turn around!" his words were harsh, although he harbored a deep caring for both of his puppies.

Shasta whimpered at the angry tone of his ftahers voice. He whimpered once more and backed up, his ears were glued to the top of his head, meaning he was frightnined. He slowly creepd after his sister, Lily. He saw her trying to stalk a deer, and then saw her venture out, further away from the pack- way beyond their limit of boundries. Shasta didnt seem to notice, and didnt seem to care, either. He ducked down low to the ground, and a sneaky grin spread over his face. He slowly creeped twords his sister, not making a sound. He placed one of his paws in front of another. Then he bounced up on top of Lily, mkaing them both tumble down the hill.

Kara sighed as she placed one of her paws in the creek. It felt so good, it made her shiver. All she wanted to do was get all wet, having drips of water come of her. Then she started to think, Well, if father doent find out about me doing this, I can do it. Maybe I could stay away from home untill I dry off! She thought it was a great plan. So she smiled, and bounceed into the water, making a big splash.

Shadow sighed as he walked along the trail his father made for him. Shadow was very obidenent to his father, he would never dis obey him. He felt as he would never disobey him, even if he was on his death bed. He was loyal- a little to loyal if you ask me. He was very stuck, always thinking if you did something wrong it would mean death. He wasn't very optimistic, always taking a joke seriously. He was the complete oppessiste of his sister, she was optimistic and ALWAYS took a joke, and always burst out luaghing, rolling on the ground.

Kallen knew her brother was going slow for her. Because they not only lost their mother but lived where they only meet the occasional loner, the family was very close. And Kallen liked it. No matter what happened she could always tell her father or brother and they would be supportive of her, and help her threw what ever came their way. Picking up her pace Kallen over took her older brother. Because Kallen was lighter then Connor she had always been more quiet when running or stalking her father or brother. But Connor always had the upper hand when it came to play fighting. He was not only larger then her but stronger, but even tho he had all these advantages Connor never hurt her. It wasn't in his nature. Kallen was surpised when the tracks disappered and a young deer ran out in front of them. She could see that the young deer must have fallen into a river and had it's scent washed off, manily because the deer was dripping wet was it ran threw the underbrush. " So much for stalking and having a surpise attack. Let's chase it down and corner it instead." Kallen called quickly as she thought on her paws durning the chase.

Emuku quickened his pace as his two pups began to chase after the tracks inprinted into the soil. They would soon learn to follow freash tracks like these more slowly. But they still had to find the hunting style that best fit them. He would show them more tricks for tracking and stalking later. When the sun was higher in the sky and it would be nice to relax. When the deer jumped out of the bushes Emuku ran after them. He stayed behind, so he could let them do most of it. But he would be right there if anything went wrong or to give advise to the two new hunters. He leaned down to whisper to Connor. " Connor my boy, quicken your pace but relax your legs. It may help you to move with less energy so you will be able to attack with more power. Remember pure power may take you far, but it will fail. Controled and harnesed power will take you farther and will never fail in the long run." he said carely. He smiled as he straighted his posture.

Shade was still percheed on the rblouder he had been sitting on for the last hour. He felt safe there, but he also felt as if he could tell the future when he was on the olf boluder. When he was younger, his brothers, Midnight and Emuku used to play on it, tripping and tumbleing. He almost smield at the thoughs. Soon that emotion on his face dissappered. Thoese were the good days, when his mother anf father were still alive, and he and his brother were still connected to ebing ebst friends. But that couldnt happen, that would mak emajor damage to the pac and the upcoming war bewwten the 3 packs. His pups, Kara and Shadow aretn gonna likw whtas going to happening, but they will have ot get used to it.

Shadow sighed and he was still wlaking alomg the paths his father had made for him so he wouldnt go past his boundries. Shadow had always wanted to know where they lead. Why were they so dangerous? Was it cause he was over-protective of his pups? Shadow let out a sigh as he shrugged. Then he went to go find his sister, Kara. He wanted to ask her of she wanted to go on a small adventure- they wee going over the boundries, even if Shade would get very mad. He soon cam across her in the water. "Kara, lets go- past the borders!"

Kara was still just soaking in the waiter. Then she heard Shadow's voice and quickly turned around. "Oh ehh, hi Shadow." Then she heard him say about the aventure across there boundries. "ARre you kidding me? We'll be in so much trouble! Unless...." She has just gotten an idea. "What if he get back to the pack before sunset." SHe said, then starting to runn off, Shadow not far behind her.

When Lily and Shasta were at the bottom of the hill, he breathed havily, little giggles escaped from his mouth.

Connor grinned at his sister. "Yeah! Let's run!" He heard his father's voice and stopped so he could speak to him. "Okay, Father, I'll try," he whispered to him. He began running again but his legs were more relaxed, though his pace wasn't changed all that much. His fur blew in teh wind and he felt a desire to put his all into the run but stopped himself, remembering waht emuku just said about power.

Lily giggled as well but she pushed herself into a sitting position and frfowned lsightly at her brother, trying hard to look serious. "Now look what you've done! I was about to wanderer into the forest and-" She stopped nad sniffed hte air, standing up. "Uh-oh. Shasta, we aren't in Father's land anymore..." She took an adventurous but cautious step forward. "Be careful and we'll be fine, Shasta."

Shastar shivered. "W-where are we?" He asked Lily, knowing that she would know either. He took one step forward, and he stepped on a stick, making it crack. He jumped back at the sound, but then relised ti was jsut the stick. He was still fvery cautios and alert, making sure nothing cought him and Lily off guard. Then he stopped, and layed down low to the ground. "Lily, I think were on another wolves t-territory." Shasta said, he was still shivering. "M-maybe its the territory of one of the wolves father's gonna have war with." He said, badly hoping of what he just said wasnt true.

Kallen ran over a rock and leaped down without breaking her stride. She landed in the corner of the deer's path. She snarled. The deer had panick racing threw it's eye as it turned and raced the other direction. To bad for the deer Kallen knew that if they kept the deer it would run into a rock ledge. Basicly a bowl the deer would totally be trapped. She heard a snap of a twig, but she desided that it must have been Connor. She didn't even see the two pups her age a few yards to her left.

Emuku watched his son change the way he ran. Connor had preformed it perfectly for his first time running like that. His son would make a a wonderful hunter, but his sister's slender body and light step would let her hunt with more skill. Connor would over power her in a fight with one paw. Henoticed how Kallen directed the deer towards the stone ledge. That would be a perfect place to kill the deer. But when the twig snapped Emuku spun to face the two new pups. In a second he realised their resbalence to Midnight, and picked his fresh scent off their pelts. " Go home young one's. I dont want to see your father Midnight's face poking around looking for you. I have no fight with him." He said with a kind tone and calm voice as he turned back and followed his pups. When his brother began the war Emuku realised that the brother he once knew died. And it would only hurt him to see his eldest brothers face looking at him.

Shasta's ears went back in fear. He backed up, bumping into hsi sister, which spooked him. He jumped up into the air, then turned around to see it was onyl Lily. He once again started to back up, then turned and ran to head home. He turned to see if Lily was follwoing, but it appered not. He didnt wait for her either, so he jsut kept urnning, with or without his sister.

Lily looked up, pressing her ears against teh top of her head, eyes wide. Swallowing hard, she took a small step forward. "W-who are you?" He smelled a little bit like her.... Could he be one of her uncles? Maybe Shade? No... From waht she'd heard, Shade was gray. "E-Emuku?" she whispered. She took a small step forward again, trying to show that she wasn't afraid, though she was. If she was wrong and this was a wolf that was involved in war, she would be punished for being her father's daughter. "That's who you are, right?" She cocked her head. "Wait..." She wasn't sure what to think. Her voice faltered and was quiet. Too quiet. She doubted he heard her plea for an explanation.

"Come on, Kallen," Connor said softly, looking at hsi sister. "Dad's got it covered. Let's go home." He stopped however, and glanced at teh other pup. was this his cousin. Slowly, he padded forward.
