I really like the fan characters section, Steet did a great job with it. However there ate a couple of things that I think wold improve it. In all the other "fan" sections BS members have personal galleries, a gallery in fan characters wold greatly improve it in my opinion. We cold see who has what characters and how many etc. And it could help members like me who have quite a few characters, organise them. of course Stet may be planning to add galleries or he may have a good reason not to have galleries.
But anyway what do you think?
Also light yellow and dark/light brown in "main colour"-all the other colors Have an option of dark or light shades. perhaps Steet just forgot to add these shades or something. So, your opinion?
Note: There's 2 polls there-but I didn't want to make another topic so I put two polls in one one for galleries, the other colour more shades. so that's why i put "Galleries: great" and also "Color shades: Great" etc

anyway-thanks for bringing that up-explaining things isn't one of my strong points!

Colour shades: It probably is a good idea to list a few more colours for fan characters but the colours there are were just made on the spot. I imagine a list of name colours and the hex codes (# *six numbers/letters*) for them would greatly help.
Galleries: I'm not totally convinced on it... Maybe a tag system of sorts instead? So when you're looking for characters from a specific person you just type in the username of that person and it lists all characters by that person? That or a mouse-over thing. You enter your name in a box when you create a character and when someone hovers their cursor over the character's entrance/headshot picture it shows the name of the person who created it. I don't think galleries would solve the clutter problem. It'd just be cluttered with galleries instead.

This way if a person only has one or two characters, they don't have to make a gallery, but if you have several it would be better to keep everything in place.

Quote: So when you're looking for characters from a specific person you just type in the username of that person and it lists all characters by that person? For now, the characters are displayed on the member profiles. They are also displayed on fanart and fan images galleries, they will also be displayed later on fanfics and other creations. As for making a gallery for characters : maybe, but I'm unsure. I mean, the characters should be created for a specific goal, like using them on fanfics for example. There's no point in creating characters just for creating characters. About colors : I think there are enough already, the point would be to search characters by color (even though it's not that useful); but if there are too many, it just can't work. Quote: And it could help members like me who have quite a few characters, organise them. Could you precise what you mean by "organize"?

I have read your reply and had a good think about it; I still like the ide if gallaries. It would be nice to have some sort of method for groping a Member's Characters in the Fan characters Section. Or instead of Galleries how about a list of links to a member's Characters, (possibly like the ones used in fan art/images) But I don't know if you could make it so that only that member's characters cold be chosen? I'm creating my Chars for my first Fanfic 'Aleu Returns,' not just for the sake of creating characters!
As for more colours would adding just 2 more to the 15 already there stop a search from working? Yellow cold be changed into Dark yellow and Brown into Dark brown. Then cream (or light yellow) could be added and light brown ending up with 17 colours. If Searching by colour isn't that useful like you said yourself is there any point in having it at all? Then there wouldn't be any trouble without it working.
What I meant by "organise" was So that a member's chars had some sort of order (like Alphabetical, Species, time created etc). But you have solved that problem by the recent Chang you made to Fan Characters.
I looked at several member's Profiles, both the Site and forum ones including my own. I know these Members have characters but I didn't see any display of Characters on them.
