Well, sometimes I can understand, because sometimes it can be confusing:

Member 1: Luke smiled at Maple as she walked down the streets of Nome *Insert another 50 words here*. "Thanks" He said.
Member 2: No problem *licks paw*

You see what i'm getting at?

i don't understand what you mean

O_o Neither could I.

Anyway, i'm saying that members should be critisized(sp?) and advised if they cant roleplay, because I for one can get really annoyed when you've written a 5 paragraph long post, and then suddenly someone wirte one that has 1-3 lines.

Although, Don't do so harsh ;]

I have to agree with Conay here. All the one-liner posts get really annoying. Also, what you don't realize is: if you guys make a short post (1-3 lines) and we reply to it, no matter how much detail we add, our post can only go so far because we don't have a lot to build off of from your post. Do I make sense?

EXACTLY! You have nthing to build on, this is where "Writer's block" comes into the scene. Even when I write a short post, I always try to leave them something to work on.

"oh" or 'so-in-so looks at him/her' that gets annoying, and stupid, and people have no right to say "Jeez, why can't you roleplay normal?! I can roleplay advanced roleplays!" I hate when people do that, but i dunno if i'm allowed to report them for that

No you cant report them for a short post, unless it's spam.

no, i didn't mean reported them for a short post, i meant reporting people who say "Your roleplay sucks! why can't you do an advanced roleplay!?" Or something mean and stupid like that

Erm... I'm not sure, for rudeness yes. Otherwise, you'll have to speak to a forum Mod about it.

Well, when there is anything involving skill, you will most likely have the very skilled, the semi-skilled, and the beginners. A lot of people ESPECIALLY on gaming communities who are "pro" have terrible attitudes. It's perhaps much of the same here, as well. The more skilled tend to look down upon the newer and less experienced people. That will naturally occur, I suppose. However, that's why things like the private roleplays and advanced roleplays are good additions to the mix, because it allows skilled people to roleplay with other skilled people.

I think it's important that semi-skilled and skilled roleplayers step down a bit to help the newer roleplayers out. Though not necessary, it can help bring the median skill level higher.

As for the people who tend to be rude to the newer roleplays....unfortunately, that's just the way it is sometimes. If it goes to far though, then bring it to the attention of the mods.

Hmm... well, I think this is a two-sided story.

If an advanced roleplayer joins a non-advanced roleplay, then criticizes the ability of other members in that particular roleplay, then they have no right to do so, UNLESS they are the topic creator. And then they have to do it in a polite manner.

In that case, this would NOT be acceptable...

Non-Advanced Member: *posts*
Advanced Member: Seriously, that post was really terrible! Go and edit it! You really suck at this.

However, this would be acceptable..

Non-Advanced Member: *posts*
Advanced Member: Hey, umm, if you could add a little bit more to your post and add quotations around character speech, it would make it much easier to follow and much more interesting.

However, there is another side to the story.
Sometimes, you make an advanced roleplay and some newbie members join, only skim through the plot and rules, then post. Then, you politely tell them to leave the roleplay, re-read the rules or post more than two lines and then they get all defensive and upset, like in this example...

Non-Advanced Member: *posts bio*
Advanced Member/Roleplay Creator: Please read the rules before posting your bio, you can only join with wolf characters.
Non-Advanced Member: *edits bio* I did read the rules.
Advanced Member: *makes first post*
Non-Advanced Member: *posts 1-2 lines*
Advanced Member: The rules say to post 4 or more lines. Please leave the RP.
Non-Advanced Member: But I did read the rules! I just had writers block!
Advanced Member: I said, please leave the RP, you shouldn't get writers block on your first post.
Non-Advanced Member: Oh god stop flaming me! Just because some members aren't su[per advanced! I'm so reporting you!

I mean, you're in an advanced roleplay, it means that you should be able to post at least a paragraph for most of the time. And you should read the rules in ANY roleplay. And if the creator asks you to leave a roleplay, even if you think they're being unfair, just do it. It saves a lot of argument.

I've actually completely stopped all role playing(and I don't intend to start again for a long time) because I can't stand it when I would post a well-thought out response and then I would see people make disgustingly short posts. I mean, I once saw somebody make a post that was three words long in one of role plays I quit.

Also, it's tiresome when people go and (usually with one other person) make like five posts of mostly meaningless pages leaving everybody behind.

Another annoying thing is when they hardly give a decent description of things which leads to conflicts within the role play and makes it hard to know who is where and doing what.

Another thing is the worst excuse in the world: Writer's block. I mean, some people say that the reason for their post being too short is 'cause they have writer's block but they seem to have "logic block" too. If they were smart then they would wait for the writer's block to go away but I guess they choose to forget that. So, writer's block is no freaking excuse. Ever.

Lastly, the worst thing is that I'll look at the unanswered posts section and I'll see like a dozen role plays that(no offense) look like they were created in a minute. I can hardly find a role play that's really good and looks like some real time has gone into it's plot.

Still, I believe that there should be some leniency towards role play noobs; 'cause they don't know better so we need to show them the ropes. However, at some point once they've made a reasonable amount of posts in role plays they need to start to get better and learn 'cause (I can only speak for myself) nobody's gonna tolerate crappy posts from people who should know what to do and not do.

If ya read all this then thank ya. :)
If ya agreed with all this then thank ya again. :D
