I've played the game before Bambam, I think it's great despite the old graphics and such. Definitely one worth playing if you are a Spyro fan. These days I like how the characters have 'evolved'. You can trace most of them back to the older games, like Hunter.

awww, I remember this game. ^^ it's still my favourite Spyro game. i've not played it in SO long, and i miss it. I never actually owned it, I just played it at friends' houses. xD
I used to love how you had to search for dragon eggs (hope I'm thinking of the right one xD), and they hatched, and little baby dragons popped out. they had names, and always did something different. <3
And I remember chasing the egg thieves. And getting swallowed by a whale. And playing as Sheila and the yeti. And fighting with a huge toad thing.
...
I seriously need to play this game again soon. ;__; <3

yeah this game was loads of fun, I tend to like the older spyros better (Ps One) and when it comes to the new spyro games (PS two ) I liked "A hero's Tail" the best, I've got ALL the spyro games but the "Legend of Spyro" Games tick me off alot, I am not a fan, the latest one "Dawn Of the Dragon" Which I bought for my 360 is the best of the legend of spyro series... :3 but all in all the originals were the best.. Year of the dragon, had alot more to do (Old game wise) It was super fun, I still play them every now and again! I will never grow out of spyro!

I totally LOVE this game. Aswell as Spyro 1 & 2. All the Spyro PS1 games.
I bought them all again from eBay a few months ago and already completed every one of them again. xD Spyro 1 & 3 I've completed again twice. I seriously love them.
SO much better than the PS2 Spyro games. Enter the Dragonfly and A hero's tail were pretty good but I pretty much hated the Legend of Spyro series. Especially Spyro's design in the first 2 of them. D| Dawn of the dragon was ok, I kinda liked playing it but the free-flying wasn't exactly free-flying... Hunter appeared to have not even existed in the earlier games, the interaction between him and Spyro was as if they'd never met before. I also prefer the old style of going to different worlds instead of one big world chasing a larger enemy and it's minions. I was generally disappointed with it ... even the areas I thought looked promising and nice and big to explore like the Valley of Avalar (?) and the Dragon City were so small and very focused. You basically had to do the missions in each area and move on, no real exploration going on.
My fave part in Year of the Dragon though was probably the skateboarding mini-games. xD I seriously will play those for ages on their own.
