Plot - Two dogs, best friends, meet in Nome, Alaska not long after the serum run. One dog is the son of Balto when the other is the son of Steele. One of them is blind and the sled team they are sold to does not let him race. But when a little girl and her elderly dog go missing, the two friends are the only ones who can find them. Will they succed and bring them home? OR will they freeze in the snow storm and be lost forever?

Swift, Son of Balto and Jenna, Was walking down the mainstreets of Nome accompanied by his mate Rose. He looked down and smiled at her befre sniffing the air. He wondered where his best friend Auzzen was. He shook his head with a smile and looked around.

Rose looked up at him and smiled 'looking for Auzzen?' She grinned as he nodded 'you two are almost inseprable Swift.' She grins and nuzzles him before walking off to go look around Nome. It was particularly quiet day in Nome especially considering that she thought there would be more people here considering that hte serum run had just ended.

Auzzen walked outside of the sled dog house and let the warm sunlight warm his fur. He sniffed the air and sensed his mate, Kirsti, walk up to him. Together they walked towards the scent of Swift and Rose, weaving through the people near the hospital who where leaving with their cured children. "I wonder why it took so long for them to treat everyone." Auzzen mumbled to himself as he trotted along. He hated it when other dogs and people treated him like a little pup because he was blind, he could practically see with his ears and senses. He scented Swift and ran up to him, "Swift! Where have you been! I didn't notice you when you came back to the sled barn last night. I was too tried." He waited for Kirsti to catch up before he turned back to Swift.

Swift grins at his friend. 'Hey Auzzen, hows it going? i know i was a bit late last night but i promised Rose i'd go see her as soon as i got into town.' He smiles then greets Kirsti before looking back to Auzzen.He admired his friend with great admiration. Even though Auzzen was blind he didnt let that stand in his way, he was such a happy-go-lucky dog and that always brought a smile to Swift's face.

Rose smiles up at him as she listens to the conversation. She knew the two were unseparable and had been since they were pups. She smiles and shakes her head before sitting down and looking to kirsti 'Hey, glad to have Auzzen back then?'

Auzzen smiled, scenting the air. He turned his sightless gaze on Swift and spoke. "Roscoe came into the sled house last night chattering about something crazy happining in town. I was too tired to listen but I was wondering if you heard about anything out of the ordinary?" He cocked his head, on ear turned towards his father's house. He didn't like it when Auzzen hung out with Swift, but he wanted to be aware if his father came near them.

Kirsti turned to Rose. She was way smaller then Rose, about the size of a young dog. Auzzen was a little bigger then her and Swift was about two paws taller then her. "Yah, I've been busy with my owner for a while though, she keeps waiting for me and Auzzen to have pups. Sometimes I think humans can be too impatient. It will be a while before we even think about that." She smiled at her friend as she spoke. Auzzen bent over and nuzzled her when she mentioned him.

Swift watches him very carefully then looks over at the house as he speaks. 'I havent heard that much really. Dogs will start talking today so ill keep an ear ready' He chuckles slightly, but constantly glances over at the house. He knew Auzzens father didnt like him and he knew his own father wasnt to keen on him being friends with Auzzen.He shakes his head before looking around trying to catch signs of any dogs or humans out in town that may have an idea about the rising tension the dogs were feeling.

Rose laughs ever so slightly 'Well thats humans for you isnt it, always impatient with everything, im pretty glad i dont have any yet' She smiles as hte two dogs infront of her exchange affections, she then turns to Swift and pushes him slightly 'See thery're full of love, you big oaf' She jokes with him before looking around and sniffing the air. 'It seems a bit tense in town, i was walking through there this morning and it was very quiet, very unusual indeed'

Auzzen had turned and was listening to the girl's conversation. "Yah, I noticed that the Musher seemed a bit edgy, he wasn't that keen about praising us for our hard work. Ha, though he doesn't let me do anything but sit around the barn all day and listen to the other dogs race." He lowered is ears in dissapointment but perked as if had an idea. "Swift! How about we work on my sleding skils and the musher might let me on the team!" He said cheerfully.

Kirsti was licking at a sharp pebble that was caught in her paw pad. She reached down and grabbed it carefully between her teeth. She pulled it and felt her paw feel lighter as the pebble slid out easily. She spat it onto the ground, growling in a musement as Auzzen joked, "Sometimes I wonder if you are part cat.".

'Sure! i would love you on the team, it would be excellent' He turned to Rose and nuzzled her before walking off slowly. He looked back to Auzzen 'want to work down at the beach now? jsut before it gets crowded'

Rose smiled at Swift as she watched him walk off, she admired him greatly as he was very caring and considerate to everyone even if it led him to trouble. She got up then looked to Kirsti 'what you doing today?'

"I'm coming!" Auzzen barked cheerfully as he dashed towards Swift's voice. He took one more sniff of the air before running back after his friend.

"Why don't we go visit your mother? I haven't seen her in so long. Did she have new pups?" Kirsti asked, cocking her head to the side.

Swift grins and runs off but stayed close enough to Auzzen. 'With the coaching your going to get you have to get on the team' He slowed down as he reached the beach, he looked around and seeing as no one was there looked back to Auzzen 'What shall we start with?'

Rose smiled slightly then got up 'Yeah i guess my mom did have pups, probably little brats though, like their dad' She growled slightly but not at kirsti, her mother had left her father for a sled dog (Zach) and this dog was one mean one. He abused rose when she was a little puppy by hitting her and her mother. Rose soon left and lived with her dad, much to the displeasment of her mother. Rose did still love her mother but was normally to scared to go near her when Zach was around. Luckily he was out of town and Rose was happier than ever about seeing her mom. 'You want to come see?' She asked kirsti as she stood up.

"Hmm..." Auzzen mumbled, thinking hard. "Oh, how about I try cordination?" He readied himself as if he was going to run on the actual team. Then he took of, staying in line as if on a harness. He dodged a few boulders and leaped over debri's from the ocean. He stoped beside Swift, barely panting. "Was that good? I hope I ran fast enough."

Kirsti smiled, "Well what are we waiting for?" She laughed as she swatted Rose's ear with her tail. "Lead the way" She said as she looked up at the sky. A bird seemed to be flying in circles right above her. What is...whatever, bird are birds. She thought, eyeing the buzzard to see what is was circling.
