Death Note

I'm actually surprised there's no Death Note topic here already. xD

Well, Death Note is a Japanese anime about Light Yagami, a college student who finds a notebook on the ground. He discovers that if he writes a name in that notebook, that person dies. He uses this power to become the "god of a new world"; however, it doesn't go smoothly for him. A genius called L leads an investigation trying to capture Light, for L and his team, along with most of Japan, believe what Light is doing is evil.

All in all, there are 37 episodes of this series. I just finished 35, and I'm rather excited I have only two more to go. ^^

My favorite character is Matsuda, but I also love Mello. I'm a fan of Matt, too, even though he only appears in one episode. xD

Did anyone else cry in episode 25? D:

OMG, my friends are crazy about Matt. I sort of am too, but I absolutely adore L! ^^

I sort of did. I was pretty sad...

Oh, and I also like Matsuda. He's hilarious! ^^

And be prepared to cry at the last episode.

I can't believe Light's dad died D: Though to be honest I didn't mind Light's death. It was pretty sad when he was trying to run away, though.

I loved that anime. I think there was an extended edition, but I am not sure.

And yes, it was sad!

I mean for his dad, but not so much for Light. Misa's death though, that was scary. :shock:

Death note is a great series i'd recomend to anyone!
the live action films are also great

My fav character is Near
I'm always drawn to characters that it seems like nobody else (either in the show or among my friends) likes. Before I watched the show a lot of my friends were trash talking Near, so of course when he came on a payed more attention and ended up loving him.
I also love Mello, Matt, and L
Matsuda is amazing too

I only like Light when he doesn't know he's Kira.

What did you hear about it?
I've seen the fist one, it cussed way worse than in the anime and my mom yelled at me for letting my little sister watch it. We had to convince her that the anime wasn't as bad.

For the english version, they casted Zac Efron as Light...Joe Jonas as L...and Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana, as Misa! >< How bogous is that?! :evil:

Don't worry they didn't. They kept the same actors as they had in the japanese version and had the english anime voice actors do the voices.
That would be horrible it they did that to such a great anime. Though I think Zac Efron does kinda look like Light. (I hate them both anyway)
