Animation Source Forums

Alright, well everyone by now knows that you're able to link your fan characters to drawings and images that feature them. This is a wonderful thing, because then artists of any kind don't get 5 million pms asking, "What is this character like? Does this character have any siblings? Will they have any children?" etc. However, as far as I know at least, this feature is not yet available for fanfictions.

As a part-time writer (who still hasn't uploaded any fics yet, but plans to) this is a little frustrating. I know for one thing that I have very little (if any) artistic ability, and even this is limited to mostly just designing markings and colors for my characters. Anatomy and my hands don't get along whatsoever, which is why I often use linearts from other artists (credited, of course) to plan out a character's looks. I also don't do much picture editing, as the only real programs I have are Irfanview and MS Paint and I'm still trying to learn how to use the Gimp to it's fullest. So, with limited resources when it comes to visual galleries, I mostly rely on my fiction. However, it would be nice if the characters could link back to their profiles just like in the art galleries and the image galleries, so that readers can get a general idea of the characters being used.

Does anyone else agree with me?

I know, I know. I plan to do it on every fan section, it's just that I couldn't get the time to do it yet. (it's a bit complex to put into place) But I'll definitely do it.

Oh, alright. I wasn't aware that was on your list, lol. Thank you then! ^.^ I'll go ahead and lock this topic.
