I know there's something that limits how often they can change it, but I think there should be something in place about how many times you can change it as well. I mean, it's very annoying when people change their name every 3 (or however many months), only to change it again and again for no reason. =\
But really, I guess it's all oppinion. How about those that do have a reason for changing their usernames, not including myself.

I see what tibb is getting at. I agree too. There really isn't any reason to change your name more than 4 times, at the most.

Well... I changed my name from "Baltorocks123" because that was my Noob name.
I changed it from "Conay_Wolfing_Balti_FR" because that was a mistake ment for the French side of the site.
And then I changed "Conay_Wolfing_Balti" to "Conay_White_Star_Line", but I want to change it to "Conay" because my current username is 21 characters and the rules state 20 is the Max.

It's ridiculous, it's frustrating, and it's confusing. Steet ought to provide score sheets, for crying out loud... Agreed. I changed my name 3 times so far, although if you consider that a made a major-mistake on one, it only counts as 2 changes.... But it will be three when I change my name back to "Conay"

Maybe a limit of 5 would be good. That there's a few extra chances in case you misspell your new name, such as the case with Conay.

Well there is already the "3 months wait" between every name change. Adding a total number of changes? Maybe, but what would REALLY happen if I would put a limit like this?
- They would ask me to change it, because "the site won't let me" (sigh) Most of the time, they don't read warnings... - They will delete their accounts, in order to get a new one and start over again.
And if instead of 3 months, I would only accept a change every 6 months or one year, they would also delete their accounts because they wouldn't want to wait for so long.
I don't think there is ANY good solution - whatever we do, they will still do it. I think that 3 months is the best we can do to slow down the number of changes.

Quote: I, and some others, have not changed our user names even once in all the time we've been here. I can see no logical reason to do so. Especially as often as some of you do. Yes, true...you're so right, BaltoSeppala. Oops.
