A note is that, yes this is a kind of warrior cat fanfic, but it takes place after all the books. But please note that I have only read the first 2 books so don't correct me on things than happen in later books. Ok enough notes, to the plot...

It is several years after Bluestar and Fireheart and all the other cats. Shadowclan has split up and merged with the other clans from raids into their camp by twolegs and dogs. All the clans live in an uneasy peace, trusting each other, but still defending borders. A kit called Sunkit, a small orangey red female, has been assigned to her mentor, Rainpelt and is now called Sunpaw. But things take a turn for the worst, the river has been swelling recently with all the rain, but none of the clans have noticed because of all the twolegs coming through their territory. Sunpaw meets some apprentices from the other clans, called Snowpaw and Shadowpaw. They become freinds, but they must keep it a secret. One day when they were all walking near the river, it burst and a huge torrent of water swept through that area of the forest, taking everything that it could with it. Sunpaw, Snowpaw and Shadowpaw are all caught in it, and end up in a strange place, with no idea how to get home. They must find their way home, or perish.

Sound good? Please comment, and give new names for the title. Oh and if you want to add your own cat's then please do, because I might do sequels.

The rustle of leaves as the wind blew through them. The snap of a twig behind it, and it stood alert. It could feel something was wrong, but unsure of what it was, it twitched its whiskers and continued eating the fruit it had found. Again it heard something, light and padded, falling behind it. There was a crashing of branches and claws, and then the darkness came, overwhelming. The female stood, holding her freshkill in her mouth. As the mouse drew its final breath, Sunpaw crept off back towards the den.

The river glittered as the sun reflected of of its smooth surface, distorted only by the break of a fish’s fin or tail. He sat, one paw poised over the clear water. He watched the shadows pass in front of him, just within reach, but if it wasn’t timed right then he would not get prey, and then have to go hungry. He looked down the river; a larger fish was coming down, swimming lazily from side to side. As it passed him, Shadowclaw struck out with his claws, catching the fish in the side and flinging it over his head. As it lay on the grass, flapping hopelessly, Shadowpaw dealt the killing bite, and it lay limp. Shadowpaw licked his paw dry, and then started to drag the fish away.

Running. Ahead of her was the rabbit, its ginger brown fur flat against its body as the wind pushed it down. She could see Fourtrees down the hillside, the great oaks standing straight and tall, a place of peace. Snapping back to her chase, she saw the rabbit was tiring; with no holes to dive down and no places to hide it would be an easy catch. She was herding it towards a large cliff, where she could corner it. As they neared the cliff, Snowpaw felt her foot sink into an old rabbit hole and she fell. Cross and hurt, Snowpaw watched the rabbit run in a different direction, and dive down a nearby hole. Picking herself up, she headed back towards the den, knowing there would be less food for her tonight.
