I think we should because, there are always talking stuffed toys now, right? I think we shoeuld maybe sew some together, and somehow make a sound clip buton to go in his paw or neck.
If we could make one, what would be the phrases?
I suggest these:
1- "Since when do you need a pedigre to help someone?"
2- "Jennna, I uh..."
And we should also do the other main characters, right?

It's a nice idea but there's the fact the Balto characters are © to Universal Studios and they wouldn't take kindly to people making plushes of their characters.

Making a voice box like that is, I imagine, not particularly easy to do and then it's also using dialogue from the film.

Making plushes isn't a simple task nor is it cheap. I plan to make plushes of my own at some point soon and it requires good quality, high-strength thread, needles, several different colours of faux fur (expensive in itself), the eyes and the nose and the stuffing.
Making it talk then requires all the electronic stuff to do that.

I'd imagine just making one for your own personal use that doesn't talk, you get away with but a talking one? I don't know.
Selling any? Don't even go there. Not a good idea at all.

It'd also be pretty impossible to get permission from Universal to make plushes as companies like that are defensive of their creations (rightly so I guess) and it costs a lot aswell.

Making stuffed toys about the Balto Characters is breaching International Copyright Laws. Universal have payed thousands of Dollars/Pounds to Copyright the Movie's "Balto" and ALL content within, even just making a stuffed toy of the Real Balto but putting in a Quote that was in the film is ILLEGAL, this also means that EVERYONE envolved will be sued, from the man at the top - To the workers in China (Thats just a saying, fyi). If you would like to break the law fair enough, but I doubt any member of Animation Source would want to spend all that hard work to be sued.

Don't be too harsh people, although I do agree everyone else. Still, you've got to admit that it's rather ridiculous that Universal would be prepared to sue us over characters that they don't even use anyway Still, c'est la vie.

It's not a good idea because, as you've been told, they're property of Universal. And secondly, Balto is about 13 or 14 years old. People would see it on a shelf and would be puzzled as to why it was there.

Fair enough.

As said before though. Making it purely for yourself would probably slip under Universal's radar.
Like the Balto fursuits and the Steele plush - no idea about the permissions for that.
