really cool game. Challenging too. I like stealth games. Anyone else?

Hmm...no I haven't even hear about it...I suggest that you tell something from it for exemple

That's the cover. In MGS you are Solid Snake and have to sneak into a nuclear weapons disposal vasilaty that has threatened to launch a nuclear weapon if thier demands arn't met in 24 hours, which is for the government to turn over the remains of Big Boss. Then rescue the DARPA chief, and president of Ams Tech industries, Kenneth Baker, then find out if they have the ability to launch a nuclear weapon and if they do, stop them. But just as you find them they both die but before they do they tell you about Metal Gear. A walking weapon armed with nuclear weapons. also they tell you how to override the detination of the nukes. In order to do this you need 3 card keys. Also to detinate Metal Gear 2 passwords are required and the members of FOXHOUND (basically your enemies) discovered them. 1 from each the DARPA chied and Kenneth Baker. Throughout the game you have to fight each of the members of FOXHOUND. 6 in total. Revolver Ocelott, Psycho Mantis, Sniper Wolf, Decoy Octopus, Vulcan Raven, & Liquid Snake, FOXHOUND"S squad leader.
Also there is another intruder besides Solid Snake, which you soon find out, his name is Deepthroat and instead of usind guns and a sneaking suite, Deepthroat uses an exoskeleton that gives him unhumanly speed along with a samuri blade and Stealth Comoflage(sp?), which basically makes you invisible.

As you probably figured this is a game that requires stealth. But if it gets too hard to figure out you can contact help using Codac.

Here's a little tip: in the game you'll encounter a woman named meryl. Eventually you have to contact her by codac and to find out her frequency they say its 'on the back of the package'. They are referring to the back cover of the case for the game. To save you the trouble of trying every frequency until you get the right one Meryl's frequency is 140.15

Also during the fight with Psycho Mantis, switch you controller plug from the 1st to another one plug-in (where you connect you controller to the console). it helps because psycho mantis can read peoples minds so he knows which where you bullet is going to fire and once you do that he wont be able to 'read you mind' anymore. So this makes Psycho Mantis entirely easy.

Better kameraden you know it's better to tell from game not just ask "Do you like from this game? It is good and I love it!" this is worst thing what you can say,well this is only my mind,and,now you told the story and other things well now I can say what I think

First: I realy don't play MGS never played
Secondly:this game sounds good,but I don't have PS2 or enought good PC to run with it.

Also Nice Topic,in my mind THIS is the way how it should be done,for other game topics I'm out like snowman because I don't know anything from that game well I hope that peopole will do this kind of game topics so that EVERYONE will understand what is the real deal

Whats really cool is once you beat the game 1 on any difficulty level you get the Stealth Camofladge and when you start the game again you can use it. Note that it doesent work for the boss battles.

This game is really good and i enjoy playing it but when MGS 3: Snake Eater was released i started wanting to play it but then i found out it's only on Playstation2 and ive only got a Gamecube. The trailer for the game is awsome. The graphics are so freakin good. But the Xbox 360 makes this game look like the graphics arn't really good. I saw a preview fo an Xbox 360 game when i went to go see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and i thought it was another movie trailer before they showed the xbox 360 logo at the end. It was another Stealth game too. If i had the money id get a PS2 & a Xbox 360.


Sorry im way off topic but i wonder if since all these other consoles are having a second even better one i wonder if Gamecube is going to have a Gamecube 2 or something like that lol

"Kenkälaatikko"*ShoeBox" Xbox aren't so good it is weak,PS it's bit better when you have GOOD TV and good voices,same PC and also Gamecube is same like Nintendo because it is only the better version from it,and also GTA san andreas,well everyone said that it WON'T come on PC but it came same will hit on every game so it will come someday in Gamecube Meaning that MGS

Wow...It seems that you both aren't really into the video game world...
MGS : the twin snakes is the remake of the PSone Metal gear solid, and released only on the gamecube. (because Nintendo ordered it to Konami) The original Metal gear solid is one of the most famous Playstation games...
Seeing that The twin snakes bombed (in terms of sales), there will surely not be any other MGS on this console. (Konami is just very stupid How could this remake sell well, since most people already played it on the psone...)

I haven't heard of any stealth game for the 360...and I would say : be very careful, the graphics of the games on that console are really all but amazing. They just cheat by showing "cinematics" but they usually never show the games with the real cameras.

There won't be any Gamecube 2 : Nintendo is planning to release a whole different kind of console, named "Revolution". I'm very surprised that you don't even know about it

I've never seen this game before,what stores would I find it in?

Well Steet more I like from PC,and other hand I don't want to have "Kenkälaatikkoa" in my floor it's just in front of me all the time and well I have so many games that I know how to give good article,like I gave from Rome Total war and from Soldier of Fortune AND from OFP anyway good game isn't all the time only the Graphic or something like that,Good story,and good chars make it, And for GameCube well consols are soon old time like PS have own pocket console (LOL) and yeah...and going in the games you are right steet you are right at least from finland

Also Japan guys are sometimes weird,Look Konamie's games "Silent Hill" "Resident Evil" and other this sort, So booring ones,but not everyones

A game is not about graphics only. I'm still playing PSone games, while I have my PC, a dreamcast and a gamecube...
And consoles have a WAY longer lifetime than PCs. Unless you upgrade your PC constantly, but it costs much more than buying a console.
And I like Silent Hill and Resident evil very much
But I wouldn't buy this remake, even for cheap : except graphics, there is nothing more added to the game.

It wasn't so fun after all of course WHEN it is in easy level....

Most of the parts in it was congusing ones,also in Resident evil was having some parts what are TOO confusing....Well this is only my words and I think that I didn't like those games so much
But I would bought the remake because of the better grapic but this is moving out from the topic so this is end

i have a PSone too but the thing wont even start anymore, and i too agree that it's not all just graphics. I mean Final Fantasy VII which is for PSone has some really bad graphics (excep for the short videos) and still the game is really good because the storyline is really good.
