Rum, A small deep honey colored samoyed with a white blaze down her forehead, and freckles, white dips on her paws, and one white ear, has a problem. She's scared.. And alone. Oh well, When the lead male off a team thinks nothing of her, another does - The mail dog- the local one. His job is to deliver neighborhood mail. And he does it well. Until Rum proves to be his toxin ; Then he begins to droop. But when Rum gets a job with Korrik - The lead sled dog - That changes. Kalu ( The local mail dog's ) Opinion of her changes - and he turns a bit vicious. But the least expected thing happens. Rum goes missing. Will she ever find her way back? Will she find help in unexpected places? You decide.

Rum dipped her nose. "Kalu?" She whimpered. "Are you there?" Her voice echoed. Her head pounded. She was in the middle of nowhere. Why?...


Korrick rushed around. Where was Rum? "RUM! RUM, We're going to be late! The Musher is gonna be angry!"

Kalu was hurrying around the streets, looking for Rum, when he heard Korrick calling out her name. "Korrick!" he called as he ran up to him. "Have you seen Rum? She hasn't been around all day." Kalu would know. He hardly kept an eye off of her for a minute.

"No.." Korrick barked frantically. "The musher isn't getting any more patient, either.." He whimpered..

Rum tried to stand, only to find the pain in her head got worse, and she fell over, yelping. The yelp echoed and bounched off trees..

Sure. His name will be Storm (alpha, gray fur, 5-ish) and Raven (beta, black and brown, 3-ish). Are you gonna play some too?

"Who cares about your musher?" Kalu said with slight anger now. "What if something bad happened to Rum?"

A yelp caught the attention of Storm, the alpha male of a nearby pack. He was with a small hunting party. "Stop for a moment," he ordered before trotting toward the sound.

"Im worried about Rum too!" Korrick yelped. His eyes were filled with tears. He barked again. "RUM!"

Tibur growled lowly. He followed his alpha.

Rika pricked her ears. "It's a pet.." She rolled her sky blue eyes, and scratched her white pelt.

"Would you shut up and help me find her," Kalu said, already sniffing around for her scent.

"Yes, Rika, but if it is a canine in pain, it is our duty as fellow canine's to offer them help," Strom said finally coming inot view of the pet.

Raven trotted along behind Storm. She stopped when he did. "Storm, do you think she's safe to be around? Dogs in pain can over-react, you know."

Korrick growled. "I'm barking to call for whereabouts,"

Rika snarled. "Yeah."

Tibur loped over to her and nudged her muzzle with a paw. "She's out cold, Storm."

Kalu sighed and mumble under his breath, "Yeah, that'll work."

"See," Storm said to Rika and Raven. "She's harmless." He trotted to the dog and Tibur. "Lets get her back to camp and see if she can be revived."

Raven walked up behind Storm, still a little skiddish and skeptical.

"Somebody saw her get picked up by a human a while ago." He said.

Tibur picked the limp samoyed onto his back, his crimson and grey pelt covered by the honey fur. "Let's go.."

Rika snorted.

Kalu perked up, surprised the little call out had worked. "Well... did they happen to see where they were headed?"

Storm nodded, leading the way back to camp.

Raven rolled her eyes at Rika as she followed behind her and Tibur.

"Way Away.. into the woods," He had a ear up to the barking.

Tibur followed him.

Rum awoke slowly, growling... She couldn't do anything other than growl..

"Then what are we waiting for?" Kalu asked, already trotting toward the woods. "Lets go find her!"

Raven, startled by the small growl, turned to face the dog. "Um, don't worry. Your safe," she said to the dog.

"Really?" Rum spit a tooth out. "that's what I thought before.." She slurred, blood dripped from her maw.

Tibur blinked. "Storm. Storm! She's bleeding."
