Free Willy the Cartoon Series

The older members of this site might recall watching the Free Willy Cartoon when they were children. The show of course had some of the characters from the movies like Jesse and Willy. All the animals could talk and communicate with their human counterparts. The show had a general eco-friendly message. Does anyone remember watching this?

I remember vague parts of one episode involving red tide. I never actually became a regular viewer, though.

Occasionally watched it, usually because the Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show aired later on. But outside of the introductory song ("...just as long as you are free, Willy...") I don't remember anything about the show.

I just had a thought: how would a crossover between that show and the Captain Planet cartoons go?

I, myself have never seen or even heard about this Free Willy cartoon. However, I am a huge fan of the movies!

I think I may wanna try this cartoon, and the new movie (since I am working on a Free Willy fan site!

) At first I thought this new movie would be no good, since they replaced the whale xDD (**diehard Keiko lover**), but after a discussion with my Dad I think it may turn out good. Hope Bindi does a good job!

Slight bad news, it'll go straight to DVD and Blu-Ray apparently. You'd think considering Free Willy's fame and Bindy's as well, they'd do a theater release first.

Yeah, you would. Well, at least it should mean lower DVD prices.
