Personally, I'm a bit disappointed that Valkyrie wasn't nominated for anything. If nothing else, it could've been nominated for best costumes, but I guess that the people who select this stuff are just that biased against Tom Cruise. It's sad, I guess, that few people seem to be able to get over a relatively minor event that happened over a year ago.

Also, I'm pleasantly surprised that Iron Man was nominated for a few awards, even if they were just for Sound Mixing and Sound Editing.

And, of course, I'm sure we all know that Heath Ledger's going to win the Best Supporting Actor award.


So, what are your thoughts?

I don't plan on watching the awards because I find them annoying.

I couldn't care less about the stars and I only care that they're good at their job. No offense to them but the work they do isn't nearly as important as other people like teachers or scientists yet the stars are much more glorified.

One reason I don't like the awards is because for every minute of actual awarding they spend like ten talking and they waste so much time.

I only see good movies that only interests me and how they pulled it off, but it's sometimes tiring to me then.
