Alright, I've decided to do a series of RPs dealing with a Cryptid, a creature scientists think could exist but haven't proven to exist, as well as one of the four seasons, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. My Season of Windigo is winter, this is summer. This one will have a less mythical tone to it.
Plot: Zeus is the King of a pride of Lions in Africa. His pride has a large territory and has flourished recently, everything seems to be going right for them...but then a Albino lion named Crater comes to warn them that an old legend has come true. The lions tell stories of a beast called the Mngwa, a gigantic cat, larger and more deadly than any lion, a beast of great strength with grey fur and black stripes that hunts at night and will devour any cub foolish enough to go out alone at night. This story was commonly used as a way to keep their children from going out alone at night and no one really believed it. However Crater has a grave warning, the legend is true.
This Mngwa has become rabid, the effects have sent it into a frenzied rage. The good news is, it will die by the end of the Summer, the bad news is its heading straight for Zeus's territory and will arrive on the first day of Summer, killing anything that gets in its path. Knowing they can't survive the rabid Mngwa's fury till it dies of its illness, they set out to find a flower known as the Desert's Heart, which acording to Crater, can be used to cure the Mngwa and return it to its true self, which according to Crater, is peaceful, while the very thing they seek to save, is trying to rip them all apart.

There is only one Mngwa.
No one is invincible, even the Mngwa can be hurt and driven off with enough effort.

Personality: Normally docile, though not friendly, now in a constent murderious rage, has no mercy.
Appearance: A massive cat, about twice the size of a lion, she has grey fur, black stripes, and yellow eyes.
Other: She is not invincable but heals far quicker than normal, a side effect of rabies on her species (also the reason why it will take her the entire Summer to die from it), she's nocturnal and only comes out at night or during cloudy days. Due to the way her species is, they're unable to transmit Rabies to other species, thus she can't infect the lions with it.
Myth: This is the myth the lions tell their cubs.
In the darkness the Mngwa waits, many arrogent lions it has ate. It is a viscious beast, with a great hunger for meat. It has fur colored grey, stipes covering all the way. If you've seen its yellow eyes, get ready to say your last goodbyes. There is one way to avoid this fate, if you want to hunt alone till dawn you must wait.
