AFI (aka: A Fire Inside)

What's your opinion on AFI?
AfI is a emo/screamo band, and I think they're amazing.

They're not my fav band, but I like alot of songs. And am the master of 'Girls Not Grey' on Rockband 2.

I never knew that's what AFI stood for :shock:

"Girls not Grey" and "Miss Murder" are among their most popular songs. So is "Prelude 12/21" (which is one of my favourites along with "Kiss and Control") Some people jokingly say AFI stands for "A Fairy Inside" because Davey Havok (lead vocalist) dates other guys such as Jeffree Star.

They used to be a half decent band. Now they're just on like the thousands of other mindless Hot Topic Bands that ***** themselves out to appeal to trend following teenagers. If there's anything I hate, it's a good band that sells out.

I don't believe that that is neccesarily true. They've just grown more popular but they're still pretty much the same band. Sure their music has grown a bit darker but I think they've in fact improved their sound.

AFI is okay. I do like their song The Interview, it's my favorite from them.

AFI really isn't my type of music though.

It was Ignorany because not all Hot Topic bands are bad. I, infact, saw a RATM shirt there.

I'm not referring to bands with shirts sold at Hot Topic, because they have shirts of very good bands such as Iron Maiden, Slayer, Alice in Chains, Megadeth, and like you said, Rage Against the Machine. I was referring to bland nu metal and metalcore bands who use Hot Topic to promote their material to trend following teenagers.
