I watched old Dracula once, and I have saw also "Dog Soldiers" well,in my mind old horromovies at least some of them are bit better than new ones...

Is this true or false? still I think that some horro movies are better and also other movies like "Gladiator" "Winter War" are old ones, well not SO old ones

What you think? is old somehow better than new ones?

Yes, in a general way, old movies are better to me. The best time period to me was '80 to late '90...Now it is ...different. I don't like most of the movies that gets famous. (Lords of the rings, all the 3D films...)

Depends, but usualy old movies are better, because now everyone thinks that a good movie just have good special effects (like in the war of worlds).

But I did like War of the worlds

NO! yu can never have enough special effects, magic ligts, lasers! we need them!!!!, i think that old movies have a more realistic feeling as things are not as exagerrated, but come on!, we need enchanted fireballs raining on our heads for an hour and a half.

Nowadays most movies arent made how they used to be older ones have more quality and dont tend to use like most new movies the eternal sex & violence scheme.

I dont know sometimes both movies rock, like The Italian Job, the old one was great (I also like the Lamborgini Mura but it gets totaled) but the New 2003 one is really good too. But in the care of Gone in 60 sec. The old one was only good because of the cars and chases, but the New one rockes and is auaumer!! Yes it's spelled worng but thats me!

Dude...I can't see how you can't like LotR. Unless you're like that weird person I met once that said "I don't like Lord of the Rings because there isn't enough shooting with guns in it." Uh...yeah...their taste in movies: no comment.

I've seen all three, and...everytime, it made me sleepy. Very, very boring acting, directing, very confusing for people like me who haven't read the books. Even the musics have nothing special, compared to most classical big films.
And I agree about the films becoming more and more violent; I couldn't even watch more than 20 minutes of Kill Bill, this is an horror...disgusting film.
