I was wondering if anyone here was familiar w/ Greg Hawkes, the keyboard guy from the 70's/80's band the Cars. Cause apparently he's coming to my house at some point o.o;
I was at the doctor's office a while ago w/ my mother (ugh, UTI
) and as we were sitting in the room waiting for the doctor to come in, she told me that this guy from the Cars was coming over next week or something to jam w/ my dad and his friends :O ...Granted, at first I was like, "Wait... so... is this guy famous?"...
Then I looked up the Cars and had a listen on Playlist.com... nice stuff. And it's so weird/cool to think someone famous is going to be HERE... visiting of his own free will... to play music w/ my dad XD;; (Yeah, my dad's quite musical
Our basement is his 'recording studio'... he's always been too shy/modest/self-critical to seek out a music career of any sort though, so it's just a hobby, and he plays folk/classic rock w/ his friends - lots of Beatles/Clapton/Dylan covers, and a couple albums' worth of original songs too)
I want an autograph...
