Ok, I'm a little tired of hearing that "Linkin Park is the best band I have ever heard!" I know it's their opinion but..what's the big deal with them?

There is no big deal. They're a band for brainwashed children who think they're listening to metal when they're listening to pre-packaged MTV brand pop.

The fans will eventually grow out of them.

I think that's a pretty harsh thing to say about them!! I am a fan and I've been one for about two years and I haven't gotten tired of them. And by the way, I can most certainly tell the difference between them and metal.

Trust me, man they have "trend" written all over them.

"Nobody understands me" lyrics to appeal to teenagers that don't know how good they have it? Check

(bad) rapping? Check

Screaming? Check

Turntables? Check

Another nu metal band that have long overstayed their welcome? Check.

The old Slipknot used to be good and don't insult my taste(and other's) by saying the Linkin' Park is bad just because ya don't like them. And dude, I know plenty of people that aren't "kids" that like them(myself included). With the way ya are talking I can see ya calling me a "conformist" or a tool of the MTV generation or whatever. And by the way, I hate MTV to the core.

I don't think all their songs are good but ones like In the end and What I've done are examples of some of their good work. I'm sorry I don't listen to metal and hard rock 24/7.

'What's the big deal with Linkin Park?'

I don't know. Maybe some people just happen to like them, and you know, it might just be their own personal taste, or something ridiculous like that (because let's face it, no-one in the teenage world of music is allowed to have their own opinion. Everyone HAS to like the same thing  )

I don't like Linkin Park, but I think it is actually quite rude and prejudiced to generalise the fans as being 'brainwashed children who think they're listening to metal when they're listening to pre-packaged MTV brand pop.' Have you met all of the fans? No. Maybe there are some who are like that, and maybe (just maybe) there are some who are actually human beings like us who just happen to like their music.

And people wonder why I don't tell them what my tastes in music are.

Thank ya!! It's rude to generalize all fans of Linkin' Park as some brainwashed MTV collective.

However when ya said that nobody in the teenage music world has their own opinion, that was incredibly ignorant. I know this is a hard concept for ya to believe but not everybody that's a teenager has the exact same tastes in music.
