Kodi and Katie's tempers with one another become too much. For their children's sakes, they decide mutually it's time for them to take a small hiatus from one another. However, an evil man named Mako captures Katie one day, and takes her back to his dog fighting ring in Anchorage. He plans to breed wolfdogs for the fighting ring! Kodi, Balto, Fang, and the four pups journey to get her back, while Katie sturggles to survive the sadistic Mako, his dogs making both a challenge.

Here! I'll be Mako, Titan, Cachen, Fang, Lena, and Balto. Oh and since this is a sequal to the Race for Life one, technically, Lena and Tai have owners but I have a way to work that out, they're technically pets but they're free to come and go as they please because their owners know they have family in the wild. Sound good and do I need bios for anyone?

Katie was almost seeing red. "You infuriating little snip! Ugh! What, what's the matter now?! Kodi, I'm really trying, but you-you're so difficult!" she was fuming taking the venom that was spit back at her.
"What?! I work you know, that's my life-" Kodi was cut off.
"you've got a mate and four adoring pups! The mail team can't be your whole life! Look at Cachen, he's already got a girfriend! Tai and Lena are pets! We're goign to just be together soon, and I don't think I could handle that!" at that moment, Katie regretted what she said, looking down at the snow covered ground.
"Maybe we need to stop for a bit, to stop seeing one another." said Kodi, his ears back. "I feel the same way you do, Kate. We need to go our own ways for a while."
Both of them said the same thing together. "We need to learn to love and appreciate each other again."

Cachen had been crying in the corner. He was relieved when they calmed down but was troubled by what they had said. He walked up to Katie and tugged softly on her fur. "Momma, you and papa aren't...you aren't breaking up again are you?" he asked, tears still clinging to his eyes, the last time had broke his heart, he didn't want it to happen again.
Lena looked to Kodi. "You're not breaking up again right?" she asked, upset as well, they were always upset when their parents fought. She looked to Goldie. She explained what had happened last time, bursting into tears at the end, it was one of the few things that made her cry.
Balto and Fang set nearby, watching.

Katie looked down at Cachen, eyes wide and horrified. She nuzzled him lightly. "Oh no, baby. That's never going to happen again." she looked at Kodi with hard eyes. "We just need to take a break." she said, licking his cheek.
Kodi couldn't believe it either. Seeing his children cry. "Your Mother's right, we're just going to stay away form each other for a little bit."
Eva whimpered lightly, nuzzling Lena lightly, to comfort her. "Gosh," she murmured, her voice high and honey-sweet. Now, it was filled with dread.
Kai sighed, sitting by Fang. His ears were pinned back, but he kept himself straight, strangling a sob in his throat.
Tai sniffed, nuzzling Cachen softly, crying herself. She wanted her family to be happy again.

Fang nuzzled his 'nephew'. "Everythings going to be alright." he said. "Tehy're just going to spend a little time apart to cool off, so they don't break up again."
Cachen sniffled his tears back but his tail still tucked between his legs. "Good, I don't want you to break up again." he said. "I want our family to be happy, not sad."
"Goldie, Cachen needs you more right now than I do." said Lena. "Thanks though...everythings going to be alright, right papa?" she asked, serious.

Goldie nodded, giving a light smile to Lena. She tried ot his her fear, but was failing. Slowly she walked over, licking Cachen's cheek sweetly. Her eyes were all concern as she actually stared up at him.
Kodi nodded, nuzzling his little daughter. "Right. It's going to be okay. This is so we'll be able to stay together.
Kai couldn't stand it, and contiued to drown his sobs before they reached his muzzle.

Cachen blushed a little when Goldie licked him. He nuzzled her. "Thank you Goldie." he said, then nuzzled Tai. "And you to Tai."
Balto walked up to Kodi and Katie. "Now that was a responsable descion." he said. "I'm proud of you both." he said. "That was a grown up thing to do, heck me and Jenna have even had to take some time appart from time to time, we always come back togather better than ever."
Lena nuzzled Kodi back. "I agree with grandpa, that was the grown up thing to do."

Katie sighed, looking at Balto. "I still feel horrible. Seeing my own children cry. I can agree we did the right thing, but to fight like that in front of you and the pups; I'm ashamed."
Goldie giggled lightly, nuzzling Cachen in return. "There's no need to thank me. You would've done the same for me."
Tai nodded, looking at Fang before wiping her eyes dry.

"But you stopped before it got too far." said Balto. "That's the grown up thing to do." he said.
"I would've, you're right." said Cachen to his girlfriend. He nuzzled her. "I'm sorry you had to see them fight." he said. "It doesn't happen a lot." he said. He nuzzled Tai. "I still don't know what I'd do without you girls."
"Papa." said Lena. "I'm glad you're not breaking up again." she said. "You and momma are a good couple."
Fang looked at Kai. "Want to go outside and let out those sobs where no one can see?" he whispered, he and Kai had found an abandoned fox burrow were Kai could let out his saddness and anger if he needed to without worrying about being seen.

Eva smiled, snuggling close to Cachen with a soft 'Hmmm'. "It doesn't matter," she said, eyes closed "I'm here to help you."
Tai nodded, licking Cachen's muzzle in a siterly way. "She's right, she's your girlfriend. Eva's here to support you."
Kodi smiled lightly, nuzzling Lena protectively. "I know, I know. We're not splitting up again." he promised.
Katie nodded. "I know, I know." she said, ears drooping lightly.
Kai nodded, still supressing sobs as he spoke hoarsely. "Will you take me, Uncle?"
OOC: Trying to give Kai some sort of innocence.

Cachen snuggled close to Goldie. "I love you Goldie, thanks for always being there for me." he said. "Same with you Tai."
Balto smiled to Kodi and Katie. "You two are really maturing." he said. "It takes a mature couple to do what you're doing." he said. "And to put the pups before yourselves."
"And it really made our hearts hurt last time." said Lena.
"Sure thing little pal." said Fang and he led KAi to the burrow. "Here we are."

Tai giggled, nuzzling Cachen as well. "I love you too, Cachen, you're really growing up."
Katie sighed. "That's a nice thought, Balto, but I don't feel so mature. I was always taught not to fight in front of pups. Now look at me." she groaned lightly.
Kodi nodded, his own heart aching at the moment. "I know, Lena, we'll never put you through that again."
Kai gave a light sniff, looking at his 'uncle' over his shoulder. "You'll-you'll wait out here right?" he asked.
