As the fire surrounded them, suddenly, with an exploding light, the pet shop was filled with light, a single small puppy was raised into the sky, and suddenly, it began to change. The witnesses could not believe their eyes. This puppy had been touched by the light.

when a pet shop is set on fire, the animals inside are doomed. the humans had only saved a few of them. When all hope was lost, one puppy, one normal puppy, cowering in its cage, was suddenly 'touched by the light'. That puppy changed, it came back down, as still a puppy, but not the same puppy. This puppy was special. Their body, mind and memory had changed. The puppy did something extraordinary, it saved every animal in the pet shop. But after this, its life was destined to change. For to save the other animals, this puppy had been changed in such a way, [codeword: foresttiger] that it had never been done before. This puppy had knowledge beyond its years. It had memories that were not its own. And it had to fit in, somewhere in this world. But how? She will try, to find out what happened to her And why. To find out, this puppy must travel halfway around the world. Or further. through snow, rain, blizzards, heat, rainforests, tigers, dingos, hyenas, what else? this extraordinary puppy may never find its place on the earth, but, she will try. For she was touched by the light.

7. NO puppies/kittens with powers/that have been touched by the light/ that have wings etc. Tasha will be the only one who is touched by the light. Although this is fantasy, we want to keep it reasonably realistic. Tasha does not have super powers, wings, or anything of the like. Another thing we do not want, is wolves/dogs/cats that take down an elk in one bite:

Appearance: A Light brown puppy, she had ears that went downwards and a black patch around her eye. She was a pure-bred German shepherd, her breeder called her a 'throw-back' because the only black on her was the patch on her eye and because she had downwards ears.

So, she got sold to the pet shop. Her life with her brother, sisters and mother was cut short at six weeks, even though she was quite young, the breeder didn't want her, so, she disowned her. The pet shop took her eagerly, as the breeder had won many prizes and they could sell this pup for quite a price.
Personality: Tasha was a cocky little pup, full of energy, fun, love and, unfortunately, loneliness. She was hit hard by the separation from her family, and when anything major happens, she gets easily upset. She is over-trusting, always seeking someone to love her. She is stubborn, determined, her way will be gotten! Eventually..... Pain frightens her. She has had one needle, and, from then on, she was scared of pain. She was a bit of a wimp.

Appearance: Tasha is a whitish-gray wolf, with emerald green eyes, a skinny build, and she is built for speed. Her soft fur seems softer then silk, velvet, anything. Any human who happens to touch her will have a strong desire to keep her. Her speed is something that dogs can only match if they are very well-trained sled/racing dogs. Her paws, when she runs, seem to float. This is, of course, an illusion, because of the style she runs with.
Personality: Tasha is quite and serious, she will laugh only with those she knows and loves best. She often has a far-away look in her eyes, and seems to know far too much for he age. Her leadership skills are great, she does not hesitate to put troublemakers in their place and often is the one to take charge in bad situations. Her fighting skills are hard to beat, although she is a pup, and has never fought before, her fighting is great. (the reason why will become clear in the Roleplay)

Tasha had been thinking about the night of the fire, when she felt something crash into her. She looked up and saw Diego, who helped her up and said "Heh, sorry Tasha, got carried away again in running." Tasha smiled. "Yeah, you always do." She then went back to being her usual serious self. Tasha's head swiveled around to watch the mail team race past, as usual, they didn't manage to get there before Diego, but they didn't seem to mind. As they pulled into town, some of the puppies from the fire bounded up to them to greet them. as usual they were busy asking about if anything interesting happened on the mail run. They remembered the fire, but not the transformation that she had undergone.


Tasha often wondered if she had merely dreamed the transformation, and had always been a wolf, but she knew this was not true. She had the memories of past lives, lives she had lived. She remembered the freedom of being a wolf, the comfort of being a house-dog, the harshness of being a stray, and the things she had learnt and known in those lives, since the transformation, had been with her. She looked back to Diego, who looked sorry for bowling her over, then she sat down and watched some pigeons picking around nearby, wondering what they were thinking.
