To be honest...I'm really not gonna go around town asking random people to watch an animated movie.. Balto is an amazing film and the history deserves to be remembered but I don't think I'll be going to the point of approaching random people about it or risk getting in trouble for littering or vandalism. (Yeah, that's what would more than likely happen in this country should I get caught sticking up random posters.)
If you and others are going to then good luck and I hope you manage to get somewhere with it and enjoy BaltoStock buuut I guess I'm not -that- much of a "hard core fan".
(Plus, it is getting annoying seeing so many topics... >> )

You can try to submit a Balto Story to your school news paper (if they do let you submit your own storys that is), You can give copys of the movie to others, or just wright the word BALTO on the sidewalk with chalk.

To be quite honest, Balto doesn't need to be sprad throughout the cities. It doesn't have a very big fanbase. And giving people a copy of the movie? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

I've left school so that's kinda out and our local newspaper doesn't print just stories (plus, I'm not much of a writer). Lol, I'm simply too broke to be able to afford to buy DVDs to give to people. In this country, I'd be told to wipe it off and be fined for graffiti. (Yes, we suck.) Unless I did it during Carnival week when anyone and everyone is allowed to do that. The only way I could really do anything would be to talk the Carnival Club into doing a float about Balto for the Carnival or doing art and then mentioning Balto as part of my inspiration when asked. I couldn't walk up to people in the street though, I had enough of a problem with that when I had to go asking for people to sign a petition to make it illegal for children to ride bicycles without wearing a helmet (during brain awareness week).

dark wolf2 wrote: did you ever think that in the usa we could go to jail for this Are you for serious? Jail? No. The MOST you'd get would be a fine for vandalism (or graffiti if they fine for that in the USA) but a minor would more than likely just get told to take it down and not do it again. There's nothing to prosecute over for just handing out a DVD. It's not copyright infringement and so long as you don't charge money for it, seeing as you're not working in a shop or licensed to or whatever, there's no risk of jail. That's just plain absurd.

@dpstq: I know ya mean well when ya posted this topic but lets be realistic with a little quiz I have for ya: Which is more likely to happen if ya do what ya want us to do
A. People thank ya and help spread the word B. People get incredibly annoyed C. Ya get ignored D. Ya get in trouble E. Or choices B,C,D.
Bottom line, the idea ya are proposing sounds very radical and extreme to me and it's not guaranteed to work. Also, ya have like three or four topics about spreading the word and I don't know why ya need more than one.
I wish ya the best of luck with your plan but I myself will not be participating in it.

That would have been more decent, and would have been a much more mature way to express your disagreement with (or disinterest in) the idea. There is no reason to be so patronizing and dismissive. I wasn't 'cutting'. I was voicing my opinion on how goofy it is to buy movies for strangers and ask them to watch it. I guess you could call me a cynic.
