Dear members of BS, I have noticed alot when someone goes "Reported" any other posts envolving the matter also go something like "Yeah Topic Reported" and that constantly repeats untill a moderator actually takes action. Once it's reported, it's reported - The moderators are not going to take action quicker (it might even take them longer to delete/close the reports) if more then one person reports a topic. It's NOT needed, it waste's time, and actually database space.
What do you think?

...Maybe I'm just not understanding your point? =| Oh yes, just realised that. But still, it's people going "Topic Reported" "Reported" "Yeah this topic is reported" over and over and over again, and for some people, if they cant report the main post, they report there own to get mods to get there quicker.

Oh yes, this does get annoying.
Seriously people...you don't need to post saying "This is against the rules. Reported." if someone already has done that. D<
You're actually spamming then and adding to the possibility of an argument starting because of it. As Rocki already said, you can't report one post more than once so don't bother replying saying "Reported" and if you try to report and it says it's already been reported but no one's replied - don't bother. It's reported. A mod will see it when they sign in and be able to sort it out.

I agree with you.. I believe the only reason why people keep doing this is because they think they'll become mods by reporting topics.... even if the topic has already been reported. It's a waist of time. If a topic has already been reported, then just leave it alone. They're just pretending to be mods. Wanna-bes. >.< Bleh.

(I've done tests on a simlar forum on the report system)
When you report, you report the post, NOT the topic, so I don't know if this happens alot, but when the main post is reported, i've noticed you can report your own post aswel. Hence another "Topic Reported"

I think the reason why most people say this is to make them look "good" to the mods. If they seem to understand what is reportable and what should be left they'll probably think it will boost their chances of becoming a forums moderator.
For example; "Oh, this is a bad topic. If I say reported like everyone else Steet will think I know the rules and make me a mod!!!1!!1111!!1 :'D"
Believe it or not, that's how most minds work here. Sad, isn't it? There are probably other reasons but I think this is the most common one. I wonder if Steet will make it reportable, you know, saying "Reported" after someone has already informed the topic maker that they've reported it to the mods. At the same time though I don't understand why people feel the need to say they have been reported, it's rather rude.
On the other hand, we should consider the fact that not everyone reads every response before posting their reply, they may be reporting it again because as the topic remains unlocked they'll assume no one has delt with it.

Well, i've decided, to not actally write "Post reported" at the end, I just say something like "I feel that someone with more power then me should look into this"
