I say ovcourse it was the best Balto film not just because it was the first but also because it wasn't much of a musical and it was a true story and I think that it hade better animation don't you think?

If it made it to theatres esspecially during one of the biggest holidays then it should be, and the others were merely DTV sequels then yes the first is the best of the three.

Because Balto and The Lion King were made to be shown in theaters,of course I believe Balto was better.

Of course the original is the best! No question. Maybe it's because it's based on a true story, but regardless Balto is definitely # 1!

I love Balto but I'd say it'd have to be tied with the Wolf's Rain series in my opinion. Wolf's Rain was also beautifully animated with a great plot.
