I certainly hope I'm posting this in the right topic area.

I also post this, because I believe Angel is a cartoon Pomeranian.

First comes the pic of Angel, then the real Pomeranian.

Hope this comes in handy.

She's a mutt. She doesn't have a specific breed.

There's most likely Pomeranian mixed in her though.

I once saw a dog that looked very much like Angel. It had the same ears and tail. But I do tihnk there is a possibility that there may be Pomeranian in her....

I dont think a purebred pomeranian wod be a street dog ijust did a quick bit of reasearch and Pomeranian puppieselfor etweeen $300 and $2,000 US!. She is probably part pomeranian (maybe 50% and part other breed/s. Someone could make a good fan fic out of this...........
Good post though and cute pics!

I think she's a long hair Chihuahua mixed with a Pom. I met a puppy that literally looked EXACTLY like Angel. (Even the one floppy ear, one straight up. lol).

Yes, i agree. The closest breed of dog towards Angel is deffinetly a Pomeranian. I love Pomeranians, they are my favourite breed of dog.
I think that the pic isn't drawn as accurate as it could be though, she doesn't look much like a Pomeranian, does she?

Great topic about Pomeranians so please let me know if you create any more about them.

Take care.

When the movie came out I read in an article that she was a Pomeranian. And she's not the only junkyard dog who is a pure breed.

Not sure :
Buster is a probably a Doberman (but he has something of a Rottweiler too, could be a mix).
The older female looks like a Afghan Hound.

Sure :
There's a French Bulldog (purebreed) and an English Sheepdog.

The other are mutts I guess.

Good detective work. Of course, one has to leave some room for artistic license on the part of the animators. Otherwise, Scamp's sisters wouldn't look like purebred Cocker Spaniels, nor Scamp like a mini-version of Tramp. Realistically, they'd all look like a blend of Lady and Tramp, as it usually is with humans.
So it only makes sense to go to the source, ahen it all comes down to it.

There is no way that Angel is compared to a Pomeranian. She looks like a Terrier at that comparasion, but a Pomer? Definitely not.

The real bottom line is that it's a cartoon. And unless the production team of the Lady & The Tramp 2 movie care (or cared) to delineate it officially, we're all arguing and debating and postulating in a vacuum. Which is senseless.

Well said. Although in my opinion a sensible debate can be both pleasant and productive, an argument such as this yields neither benefit. I, for one, would be interested to know what breed Angel is, or at least to hear some good specualtion on it. But bickering is just annoying.
