Nintendo are going to release there newest version of the Animal Crossing games this Winter, supposedly about 18 days from now (Depending on your location. ;]) The game was Formerly known as Animal Crossing: City Folk, but Nintendo have changed it to Lets go to the City. Surely City Folk was better? You may think so, but really, the new title makes sense. After all, you are not residing in the city, you simply pay it visits.
Actually, the game was released last Sunday, November 16 as
Animal Crossing: City Folk. Though you have to be living in the Americas for that statement to be true. I think Japan is next in line to get the game, followed by Europe and Australasia.
The name
Animal Crossing: Let's go to the City! is what the game is going to go by in the PAL regions (aka Europe and Australasia).
Here's a little fun thing I just found out:
Let's go to the City!: Animal Crossing is what you found get if you translate the name from the Japanese original. So that means the name change wasn't from
Animal Crossing: City Folk to
Animal Crossing: Let's go to the City like we all thought, the name changes is actually the other way.

Animal Crossing is a wonderful game, the only downside being that once you start playing it you can't put it down! The new Wii version introduces many new features, such as the ability to become your Mii at Gracies (With a makeover), Wii Speak (Sold seperately under the price of £20) and, as the name implies, you may choose to visit the city!
Is that really a downside? Nay, I say!
As far as what's new in the Wii game, the biggest thing is the ability to go to a city and the ability do voice chat during online sessions with the new Wii Speak mic.
A good handful of the characters that visited your town in
Animal Crossing Wild World for the DS have set up shop in the City.
For example: Crazy Redd now runs his invitation only shop in one of the buildings in the city, Redd's partner-in-crime Lyle runs the HRA building, Dr. Shrunk teaches emotions in the Marquee, Gracie opened a high-end and very expensive furniture and clothing store called GracieGrace, Harriet opened Shampoodle where you can your hair done and a Mii Mask makeover (a correction for you), and Katrina the fortune tell is also there.
There are other things in the city that are brand new but I will not say them to avoid spoilers.
And Wii Speak mic. is great! It's not a headset mic. but a community mic., but that, I found, does not bug me at all and it works perfectly. I'm sure it's all based on where you live but in the Americas
Animal Crossing: City Folk and Wii Speak are sold separately or together in a bundle. I got lucky and got the bundle. XD
