The title to the sequal of Transformers has been announced with a release date on June 26 2009. The plot hasn't been explained but it will be a more world wide conflict than before. The surviving Transformers will all return as well as a resurected Megatron, or maybe Galvatron, and be joined by new transformers. For the Autobots Acree, Jetfire, Sideswipe, and two more autobots known in preproduction only as the Twins are joinging the team with the Deceptacons being joined by Soundwave, Ravage, the Constructicons, and an currently unnamed one, theses have been confirmed it is also indicated there will be three times as many transformers as the first film. Also appearing is a mysterious transformer known as the Fallen who is a menion of Unicron, indicating Unicron will be appearing in this or a future installment! I can't wait for this movie!

@GodzillaWolf: Ya know what I just noticed? In your post I never saw a mention of Starscream or Scorpinok in the list of returning characters so does that mean they won't be coming back? I would assume at least Starscream would be back because he was in the very last scene flying into space/Scorpinok could also come back because he was never technically killed off.

Also, how will the conflict be more world-wide because in the first movie the whole world was like a battlefield so I don't know how they will do that.

I'm amazed that they did cover everything up(mostly) especially the huge city fight at the end.

I think Starscream is my second favorite decepticon losing only to (he didn't have a name did he?) the small silver one that attacked the plane and appeared a few other times (ya know who I mean).

He was a cool decepticon and I hope he returns. He added a nice amount of comic relief to the movie like in his fight scenes when he accidently kills himself with his own weapon. I also like the way he moved which was really cool/funny.

*gets back from other websites* I just found out something really cool!!!! Starscream is going to come back and get much more lines than the last time. Megatron will also return and the autobots are also getting another ally called Arcee who (I'm pretty sure) will be the only female autobot in the movie. Sadly, I don't think Frenzy will come back but I hope he does *crosses fingers*.

Yeah, forgot to mention Starscream, he does play a larger role, from what I've heard he betrays Megatron and tries to take over everything and Scorponok also will return, he somehow resurects Megatron. No Frenzy but Soundwave has a simular sidekick. Its going to be more world wide because there will be fights throughout the world, they've got more room for it cause they don't have to introduce the Transformers. I've heard they've also done shooting in Paris. Since the Fallen is a follower of Unicron, Unicron defiently exists in this timeline but I'm thinking they're gonna introduce him in the third movie, I mean Unicron is too importent to not be the main focus of a movie.

Me so glad Scorponok will return!

In the first movie one of the planes that shot Megatron was Starscream.

I wonder what happened to all the robots that got created in the city by the all-spark like the soda machine one and the x-box one.
