It's been a while since I've ranted, and after reading and commenting several things on AS here recently, I felt the need to make my opinions known.

First of all, I think it's ridiculous that members can hold grudges against each other for a few arguments, and disagreements. I mean, come on, this is the Internet, let it go already. I was reading a topic the other day, and one person (I will not give names) was merely sharing their opinion on the subject, and then a few minutes later, another person comes into the scene. This person barely contributes anything to the topic matter, and poorly disguises their animosity towards the first person with their response. Now, some of you may be thinking, "It's not like you can tell how the person means what they typed, you can't hear them", and that's true. Except, if they use subtle attacking and/or defensive words in their post. If this happens, malice and bitterness is certainly implied. Yes, it may seem pointless for me to complain about other members' unresolved issues with one another, but frankly it gets annoying. I'd like to go on a rant topic, or any topic for that matter, and just be comfortable posting without having to worry if I'm going to interrupt an argument that could erupt into a flame war at any given moment.

Secondly, what is the deal with people bringing up old topics? I don't mean from like two moths ago, I mean topics from like a year and a half ago! People that do this, you know who you are. Now, I can see if the topic is still relevant, and if the person who bumps it up has something new to contribute, but little things like, "I agree", or "Yeah, that was cool", are just idotic! I ask myself if these people can't see the date the topic was made, or when the last comment was posted. Well, IMO, I don't think these people really give a crap, they just want to boost their post count. (Don't even get me started on that issue! -scoffs-) One of the most irritating things I've seen related to this part of my rant, was when someone welcomed a "new" member on an introduction topic from a year or two ago. Then you look at the person who brings the topic up, and see when they joined. 99% of the time, these ignorant people have joined last week, or one month ago! Do you see any sense in that? I sure as heck don't.

Now, I'll admit that's not all I have to say, but I can guarentee you all will see more of me in the future on this board. So, please post your opinions and comments, but whatever you do, no flaming! I'd say that's a given, but half the members on here nowadays don't seem to have common sense. -mutters unintelligible insults and wishes for the good ol' days-

ok there are some people(including me)that get a little carried away and my type in all caps(I recently did that)but I didnt hurt anyone and I didnt threat anyone and yet they still reported me and I got a warning my point is that some people stand strong next to there opinion and my yell/type in all caps.I dont think I or anyone else should be reported for their opinion so I agree with you(I think that was your point )but if not that was mine lol

Just so you know, typing in caps does not help your opinion be heard at all. It will make you look bad, and less people will take note of your opinions. Typing in all caps disrupts the flow of discussion, and aggravates others. They are probably reporting you for that reason.

Er.. no offense, but that wasn't my point at all, and Ghost is right, caps really doesn't help emphasize one's opinion at all. My point is that -Jersey pointed this out- even though this is the Internet, societal rules and manners should still apply. By this, I mean even if you have had several disagreements with a person on here, you shouldn't automatically imply malice in your post; especially if the topic you're posting in really shouldn't make anyone's opinion flare up strongly.

Look, Branana, this topic is not directed towards you, or anyone in specific. (Hence why I did not state any names in the first post.) You aren't even understanding the point of this topic.
