So I was never all that impressed with the Balto Source forums for the most part. It was a good time when I had very little to do, with some nice plots and a few really memorable roleplays here and there. All in good fun. I don't claim to be perfect, far from it. I had a mary sue or two in my time here (probably and quite logically more, with people like Vyxen, for one, and Misha Kalo if anyone remembers them -shudder-). Still, however, coming back now, I've noticed a complete lack and disregard for real originality. There are some excellent, excellent roleplayers here who I got to be very good friends with and while most people were pretty decent, there's hardly anything of the sort now. Twilight, Warriors, and fandom RPs from movies can only go so far with two or three line posts and the plotlines that go along with them are undeveloped, generic, and predictable, with characters to match who always know what to do or how to do it when the chips are down and manage to be completely and totally clueless and cute when faced with normal things. How shallow things like this could entertain anyone I don't really understand anymore, but I do honestly think the quality on the board has decreased immensely since the last time I visited. I really, really would like to see something like there used to be on the boards, something useful and creative and interesting. It's not fun to read through things now, introductions with just a character description and no real clue of what's to come. I don't know. Maybe I grew up, or maybe I've just lost interest in the roleplay boards. I can say, however, that the roleplays on the boards here cease to amaze and I would advise anyone sticking around for sentiment to head out and seek better entertainment elsewhere.

That's all, Baltosource :( Ta ta for now.

I'll admit that I do agree with you in certain respects. I mean, yes, the roleplays recently have suffered from a lack of creativity and/or depth. Maybe I've grown up too, (I'm 18 now), or maybe I seem to be one of the few that appreciates stories for their depth and plot development. But I have been wondering when someone else would notice, and very few have. Welcome to the few, I guess! XD

There's one ongoing RP as of now that has depth to it (and I'm not saying it because I had a part in creating it), and has been thought out well in advance. Here's a quick link: http://baltosource.timduru.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=22382 For what it's worth, I guess, it's the only RP that I'm posting in at the moment (at least on these forums).

Sorry to see you go. I do recall when you were active around here, and you were a great roleplayer. Those who remember you will remember you for that.
