Do you actually have a picture of Balto then sketch it or you just picture it in your mind and draw i find that impossible

I draw by memory.

I draw by memory. I can never just look at a picture of a cartoon and sketch it, maybe for realism. I cant even trace

I do both but I tend to sketch more than I color or draw things by plain memory. I draw my own characters and so of them are good but I never color them.

I draw by memory most of the time because all the characters I draw were created by me so... (you can guess where I going with this)

I do draw by looking at a picture but its not really my style, I perfre to use my own characters.

Even professional artist use ref so drawing by looking is not a bad thing its a very good thing, i do both drawing from memory and pictures, though its not good to draw from memory unless you got the basics down.

I do both to,I find it easier to do off the top of my head cause I CANNOT COPY ALOT!!!! Sometimes when Im having an awsome day,I can use a refference and it looks ok.^^

I do both, but mostly I look at pics as I draw them. I NEVER trace though.
