I've been planning this for a while. It's kind of a project about the most dangerous type of scorpions.
1:Arizona Bark Scorpion:a small light brown scorpion common to the southwest United States. The range of the scorpion is the Sonoran Desert, though less toxic relatives of the scorpion are located throughout the Southern US. An adult male can reach 8 cm in length (3.14 inches), while a female is slightly smaller, with a maximum length of 7 cm (2.75 inches). The Bark Scorpion is the most venomous scorpion in North America, and its venom can cause severe pain (coupled with numbness and tingling) in adult humans, typically lasting between 24 to 72 hours. Temporary disfunction in the area stung is common; e.g. a hand or possibly arm can be immobilized or experience convulsions. It also may cause the loss of breath for a short period of time. Due to the extreme pained induced, many victims describe sensations of electrical jolts after envenomation. Fatalities from envenomation are rare in the USA, and are limited to small animals (including small pets), small children, and adults with compromised immune systems. Extreme reaction to the venom is indicated by numbness, frothing at the mouth, paralysis, and convulsions. Two recorded fatalities have occurred in the state of Arizona since 1968: the number of victims stung each year in Arizona is estimated to be in the thousands. In Mexico, more than 100,000 are stung annually, and at its worst period, the Bark Scorpion claimed up to 800 lives annually during the 1980s.
2:Deathstalker Scorpion:A medium straw yellow scorpion tht found in desert and scrubland habitats ranging from North Africa through to the Middle East. Can grow 3.5 to 4.5 inches (9 to 11.5 cm) in length. It is comparatively lightly built compared to other scorpions, with a long thin tail and slender pedipalps. Note that the dark segment on the tail is sometimes faint or even missing, which can complicate identification. The deathstalker is regarded as a highly dangerous species because its venom is a powerful cocktail of neurotoxins, with a correspondingly low LD50 rating. Fortunately, while a sting from this scorpion would be extremely painful, it would be unlikely to kill an otherwise healthy, adult human. However, young children, the old, or infirm (such as those with a heart condition) would be at much greater risk. Additionally, any envenomation runs the risk of anaphylaxis, a potentially life-threatening allergic reaction to the venom. If a sting from Leiurus quinquestriatus does prove fatal, the cause of death is usually pulmonary edema. The German pharmaceutical company Twyford and the French pharmaceutical company Sanofi Pasteur both make an antivenin intended for the treatment of deathstalker envenomations
3:Fattailed Scorpion:One of the most dangerous groups of scorpion species in the world. They are found throughout the semi-arid and arid regions of the Middle-East and Africa. They are a moderate sized scorpion, attaining lengths of 10 cm (just under 4 in). Their name is derived from their distinctly fat metasoma, or tail. Their venom contains powerful neurotoxins and is especially potent. Stings from Androctonus species are known to cause several human deaths each year.
This next is not every dangerous to humans, but is being written due to it's popularity 4.Black empereor:A species of scorpion native to Africa. The emperor is one of the largest species of scorpion in the world, with adults averaging about 8 inches (20 cm) in length. The emperor's size, relatively low toxicity, and life span make it the most popular scorpion in the pet trade,The main reason for the low toxicity is due to the large pedipalps which are strong enough to easily crush prey.
My opinion is that the Deathstalker is the most dangerous species.I will very likely make a topic on other creatures as well
