Here's Soundgarden:

The singer joined up with the instrumentalists from Rage Against the Machine to form Audioslave.

Pearl Jam for sure was good. Ten was the first album I ever bought- following with Red Hot Chili Peppers's What Hits!? greatest hits album. 90's Alternative Rock was what I grew up upon, and it is still the best rock today.

If you like the Chili Peppers, you may like Rage. They have a similar style (rap and funk combined with rock), but are more hard rock and metal oriented.

Also, Pearl Jam is awesome.
