Like Mighty said, banning is a last resort. So, let the banning begin!

First I will clarify that the moderators "never like to ban anyone," and we do so as a
punishment,
not a vendetta. If someone breaks the rules and their three warnings expire (or, if more than one moderator decides that the offense is great and they ban them with less). It's all repeatative: Does the user keep breaking the rules? Are they the same rules being broken?
There will always be the "natural rebels" everywhere (yes, including on the Internet). People who, according to several accounts inflicted upon myself, "don't own them." They feel that, since it's 'just the Internet,' what they say/do is completely anonymous -- no one will ever know who they are, where they are, and so forth. But there's a thing called Internet Protocal, or "IP" for short; it's a special number given to any/all computers (and Internet users) to track them. And, guess what, it works. :]
Of course, I'm not saying that moderators will track someone down straight to their front step, but we use that IP to ban to computer, not the account -- so the offender(s) can't make other accounts to terrorize the site. Overall, I agree with you, Wolfy. To have people simply follow the rules would call for amazing peace, but I think we're asking too much. There are a lot of kids on this site with an "urge" (see my second paragraph about "natural rebels"), and use the Internet so they can relieve that urge. We can't expect it to stop -- we just have to deal. Good members are just that -- "bad" members are those usually disregarded.
