The point of this topic is not to bash anime, but instead is a thread for those who never got what all the hype was about.

Alright I'm in. I never understood what was so great about anime. I've watched it before..but I don't understand what's so great about it. I don't find it interesting at all. :/

Anime in itself is not a great thing, the same way that music isn't inherently good.
Content is what makes the thing, not the title or genre.
I don't watch a lot of Anime, in fact I've probably only watch 4 full series in my whole life. However, my favourite Cartoon/Series of all time is Neon Genesis Evangelion (even if you don't like Anime, it's something you could probably get into).
It's the weeaboos perpetuating the hype, with all of their KAWAAAAII business.

I don't quite hate anime either. The thing that I hate is having a bunch of fanboys rave about it, and telling me I'm an idiot because it's not my thing.

That's pop culture for you.
It's just easier to ignore them.
Which is hard.

I've always been confused by the difference between Anime and Manga, when I was young I used ot watch Dragonball Z and a year or so ago I watched a bit of Wolf's Rain but thats about it. There's never been a real catch for me

Ginga Densetsu Weed is okay, but the rest I HATE! My friend "Tabby" is obsessed. I don't understand the manga and anime stuff. BTW, whenever I try to look at a manga/anime book, Tabby always takes it and says," Don't look at It!" she's annoying and protective and makes fun of me for not liking manga and anime. She says " I can't handle the violence". I'M VERY VIOLENT! Geez! So I guess she's not really a friend. But yeah thats part of why i hate anime. I also think it's dumb and boring, so I'm in on the Anime Hater's CLub!

I change my mind. I no longer hate anime, I just didn't understand it before. I'm actually starting to like it now.

Anime is nothing more than a style relevant to its point of origin. When you speak of "anime," big, glossy eyes and randiantly-colorful hair is what usually comes to mind, when in reality, there are many different subcategories. Code Lyoko, for instance, is an example of French anime, and when compared to what you usually think of, Japanese anime, you'll find the two are very much different.
Verbally speaking, the very word "anime" is short for "animation." Much like how the people-label "emo" is short for "emotional." And you can't deny that there are many different kinds of animation. So generally speaking, saying you don't like anime is almost the equivalent of saying you don't like cartoons, or anything graphically-rendered to depict motion.
