Hey everyone.
I'm a huge Warriors fan, and on a fansite I am on (warriorswish.net) there's a thing called shippings. Shippings are two characters paired up, whether the pairing is real in the books, or it will never happen. One of my favorite pairings is Sandstorm and Ravenpaw, even thought it will never happen. Anyways, I've written a fanfic on it x3 You can still read it even if you're not a Warriors fan, 'cos I want comments ^^
This is posted on Warrior's Wish, as well. I also have another fanfiction with another shipping that will never happen, but I don't want that comment here, because it's Firestar and Blackstar (two males). However, if you want to read it, I can PM you the thread on Warrior's Wish. ;D
If you read Warriors, this is supposed to take place during Rising Storm.

A pale ginger she-cat crouched low as she traveled through WindClan territory. Her heart thumped nervously, and she sent a silent prayer to StarClan that she would be able to travel safely. She crouched low, gliding over the ground with silent paw steps. There was barely anywheres to hide if a WindClan patrol came.
As Sandstorm made her way through the territory, her hopes were getting stronger that she would not get caught. But as the ThunderClan warrior moved on, the wind carried a scent towards her: It was a WindClan patrol. She stopped, thinking. She knew that she was nearing the farm. Maybe if she traveled quickly, the patrol would miss her. She moved on; she barely had a choice, anyway. But Sandstorm was startled when she heard rustling nearby, and mews. Thank StarClan the wind is blowing toward me! she thought, diving into a clump of bracken, crouching low. She waited for it to pass, getting more nervous each second. But then she heard cats bounding past her, and knew that the patrol had missed her.
Sandstorm waited there for another minute, so that the patrol would definitely not notice her. Then she got to her paws and padded out of the bracken. It's all clear, she thought in relief.
The ThunderClan she-cat moved on, her stride turning into a run. Soon a farm appeared in the distance; extremely thankful to StarClan that they had let her pass through safely, she charged through the grass, and didn't stop her sprint until she reached the farm. Panting, she padded up to it and stepped in a doorway nervously. "Ravenpaw?" she called.
Sandstorm jumped in fright as a cat mewed a greeting behind her. She whipped her head around, and gave a yowl of delight as she saw Ravenpaw. "Oh, Ravenpaw!" She bounded forward and touched noses with him.
Ravenpaw then asked, "So, why are you here, Sandstorm?" He looked puzzled, as if surprised that the she-cat had traveled the long way to the farm.
Sandstorm shuffled her paws, her heart thumping in joy, but her whiskers twitching nervously. "Ravenpaw.. I.. Do you remember when we last spoke?" When Sandstorm had traveled her with Fireheart a few sunrises ago, she had secretly talked to Ravenpaw; the black tom had revealed that he had affection for the she-cat.
"Yes," he answered, looking at his paws.
Sandstorm guessed he was embarrassed. "Ravenpaw, listen to me.. I feel..like that, too. Honestly. I've always felt something towards you." Her words came out quietly, as she was more nervous than ever. But she knew she had to tell Ravenpaw the truth. Ever since she had been in the apprentices den with him, she had always felt a little affection toward him, and it only grew.
Ravenpaw looked up at her, surprised, though emotion was swirling in his eyes. "But.. What about Fireheart?"
Sandstorm felt winded. Ever since Ravenpaw left, she started feeling affection toward Fireheart. She felt torn. She did feel affection for him, but Ravenpaw, too! But Ravenpaw, mostly, she thought. But was it true? Fireheart meant a lot to her, even if she had only allowed her feelings to go out to him because she was missing Ravenpaw. It shouldn't have been, she thought bitterly. Why did I let it happen? I gave in! I knew I liked Ravenpaw! Finally, Sandstorm answered, "He's a friend. At one point I felt that way with him, but now it's all you."
Ravenpaw's eyes brightened. "So..you..feel like that with me?"
"Yes," Sandstorm answered, stepping forward to lick Ravenpaw's chin. The black tom licked her forehead in return.
Then Sandstorm let her head rest under his chin, against his neck. She could feel his warm breath on her head. She quietly mewed, "But it can never be, can it, Ravenpaw?"
The black tom did not move. He licked Sandstorm's head and answered, "Perhaps not." He then pulled his head away and looked her in the eyes. "But whatever happens.." His voice trailed off. He looked at his paws.
Sandstorm looked at his black fur, and then her own paws. It would be a tough relationship. She would have to travel through WindClan territory to get to him, which was risky enough - but to be with the loner would be difficult to keep from her Clan mates. If she was away for a long time each day, they would get suspicious.
She sighed. "It can't be, can it?" she asked him.
Ravenpaw slowly shook his head. "No..I-I don't think so." He padded forward and licked Sandstorm's shoulder. "But.. I guess.. I'll tell you this. I love you, Sandstorm. I liked you as an apprentice, but this is real.."
Sandstorm looked him in the eyes. Love was swelling in her heart. No! she yowled to herself. I can't love him! It would be too difficult, too painful! However, she didn't fight it. She finally let her heart go, and felt so many emotions swirling in it. I gave up, she thought blankly. I let myself love him, just like I let myself feel that way toward Fireheart. I cannot.. She looked up at Ravenpaw and mewed, "I love you, too. But I know it won't work.. It just can't.."
"I know it can't," Ravenpaw replied.
They stared at each other for a long time in silence. Love flowed through their eyes and into each other's hearts. Finally, Ravenpaw broke the silence by meowing, "You should go."
Sandstorm gulped. "Y-yeah," she stammered. "I should. Um.. Bye."
Ravenpaw licked her on the forehead, and backed away. "Bye."
As reluctant as she was, Sandstorm bounded away, grief striking her heart. She would have to forget Ravenpaw, she knew it. She would have to let the love go and eventually let it drift away. As much as she didn't want to, she knew that she couldn't love Ravenpaw. No, she thought. There's another tom for me. One in my Clan. One that I can actually be with. All the way home, she pushed the image of Ravenpaw out of her mind and forced a new one in. One of a handsome ginger tom. She'd let herself love him; she was going to. Eventually the pain of Ravenpaw would swell away and there would be a new tom in her life. Fireheart is the one for me, she urged herself.
