I would have to say Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, and Van Halen because I love the beat, the screch of the guitar, and just becuase clasic rock and clasic metal is the only music that I can stand, for I am a Metal Head.

The Smashing Pumpkins. When I was like 6 I loved '1979' and my mom listens to that kind of music, so that's how I got into it.

Most definitely Epica. Best band ever.
Their beautiful combination of aggressive music with a beautiful and soft-voiced singer and marvelous symphonic musical engineering is an outright inspiration for me.

bands like 3OH!3, mindless self indulgence, fall out boy got me into the whatever music scene they're in. emo / pop. i've been a fob fan since 2003, and that's what got me into the small, unpopular bands. 3OH!3 and msi got me into the fast beat stuff like shiny toy guns. : D

The two artists that have influenced my taste the most would be Green Day and Bon Jovi.

To be honest, I've never given this any thought before! And it's certainly hard to pinpoint a band that has influenced the taste I have nowadays. If I had to pick one, I guess it would be Evanescence, because they are what got me into rock music many years ago. While today I'm not as much of a fan of theirs, they are what got me into rock, so they must count for something.
Otherwise, I might count New Order as a definite influence. I love that style of music and try to listen to it pretty often nowadays.
