If I'm reading this correctly, the author is suggesting that passwords be identified by the system and are censored. I ask this: What if someone had their password as "the"? That would mean whenever someone wrote "the" in private messages, it would be censored as ***.
The suggestion of helping the forum is noted, but it's not logical. Again, if I read the topic correctly, which I'm quite certain that I did.

It would be useless. - What if they don't write "my password is ..."? but another expression? - What if they write "I think my password is too easy"? It will turn out "I think my password is **** easy" - If someone really send his password by PM, then it's his problem. It's common sense not to give anyone your password. - I don't think that most of the accounts used by other people are because someone sent his password to someone else. I believe most of the time that they see some bugs happening with their profiles, and interpretate that as a "hacking". (when in fact, there is nothing like this) And if really some passwords are shared, I think they are shared in real life (siblings for example), not on the web.
But maybe a message or a rule telling that "you should not give your password to anyone else" would be more efficient.
Please note that I don't ask for passwords anymore in case of bugs, I have found another easier solution to do it. So if someone request your password, it's not me and you shouldn't give it.
Also, where are those "I've been hacked!!!" topics you're talking about? I would be interested to examinate one case to see clearly what the problem was.
