I have been thinking about this alot, and have seen it is possible - so I decided to suggest it here:
The Banning System: I've seen different types of bans: Username's, IP's, E-mails Exc. And things like that, never really work. So, I was thinking; When a member gets ban, they get an Automatic: Site/Forum Ban. Username Ban. IP Ban. E-mail Ban. COMPUTER Ban.
Since than the usage of ****** fail, and the computer gets banned insted (Well... They both get banned).
What do you think? Good idea? Bad Idea? Please post your thoughts.
P.S. Please don't flaim this topic, it's not allowed and I had a very Limited time to post this suggestion.

As helpful as that may be, it will never happen. Like Mo said, parents should teach their children to behave anyway, but I doubt they'd really do anything. They would have to monitor EVERYTHING their kid does online, which is hard if they know how to ****. There would be nothing to go on. Plus I doubt they'd really care lol.

Quote: COMPUTER Ban.
Since than the usage of Proxie IP's fail, and the computer gets banned insted (Well... They both get banned). It's plain impossible. There is no way to identify a computer. The only way would be to get the MAC address of the network chip, and it's impossible to do on the web (for security reasons, mainly.) That's a choice, there is no way to track someone. (and, in a way, it's a good thing) I am still going to improve the system with what is possible to do, but there are very limited choice. Quote: They would have to monitor EVERYTHING their kid does online, which is hard if they know how to ****. Remember that there is a new rule on the site : never talk about ways to bypass the site system. Sorry but I have to censor you.

Seen it before, on a few sites - it includes computer banning. It can be done, however you would probably have to be better at coding than Bill Gates (XDD) for this.

But no, the sites you're talking about probably use another method that I already know (that I won't list here for security reasons), there is no 100% sure way to do it. Why do you think Wikipedia has all the same problems? If you say that it is possible, then I would be interested to know how.

Going around telling peoples perants is a good idea ;] But here is a site withc DOES contain computer and IP banning: http://habbo.co.uk

I think they probably just use another name...
I'm not that good with computers but from what I do know there is no way at all to identify a computer itself and ban it. Unless you're staff on that site and know exactly how it works I doubt they use a banning system which can identify a computer itself.

I'm guessing Balto Source already uses IP bans...
