I have been working a little on this idea now, and even though my English pronounciation sucks, I have made a Podcast test version for BaltoSource!

This idea first spawned of balto678's suggestion in the forum and I began to build on it.

Currently, I am in need of DJ's and people who have Skype/MSN who got microphones to be interviewed.

The DJ's should be capable of making playlists of music and send them to me over e-mail (please do send the music files themselves too!!!). You may apply through e-mail: [email protected] . Subject: Application for DJ in BS Podcast.

The DJ's can also make their own little entré in the podcast and actually participate in it. This will be arranged over Skype and/or MSN where the DJ's in question are speaking together. I have a program that records conversations over skype and MSN conferences, so yeah! It will be just like a radio with guests and all! And everything said by any part is recorded. Sounds fun, doesn't it? ;]

Interviews will also be done the same way.

My aim is currently to make this a good podcast (something like The Weekly Balto, which I've taken off the stickies) to replace my TWB project.

I hope people will be a lot more willing to contribute!


And people - be mindful that some of my/our podcasts can quickly become OVER 1 HOUR long. So it's recommended you listen to them when you have time (the test one is 35:47 minutes long).

Anyway, I hope people will participate and help this project become the coolest thing to ever happen on BaltoSource.


I know at one point I said I was going to feature Kirada's fan news features in the first podcast - this changed mid-process and I forgot to edit.



So, I need more reliable hosts for the podcasts - if anyone can offer hosting space on their servers, that would be deeply appreciated.

I wouldn't mind at all recording these things with you. Though, this raises a few complications in the whole process. We're obviously in different time zones. So, it'd be hard to manage to record them on a regular basis. On my end, i just gotta get the money for a decent microphone or headset.

Whatever you used in that recording wasn't bad. Don't think i heard much breathing into the microphone.

Don't sweat it about the funny voice. Alot of people are sick during their first podcast recording.

As for a server you can host the podcast on, i think it's free to do so on iTunes.

Cool, I hope this podcast thing keeps going, a great idea.

Glad you liked it. That's actually a problem I'm working on solving. I'll ask those who wants to work with me on the project about the times they can be online for about an hour in a Skype conference. What I'll try to do in the future is to make it sound like live radio with multiple people in the "studio", using Skype as the studio and my own recorder. That way, we can record Skype conferences two-ways.
Just like live radio shows.

That's the plan, but currently it's just going to try to make the podcast weekly, but if that's unrealistic, it might become monthly. So plenty of time to record individual DJ sessions.

And seriously - my voice is bad like than -_- I should try to make it sound like something else xD

And thanks for the tip about iTunes. I'll take a look.

In the above post, I stated the podcast should be put up weekly. This month, that idea just isn't realistic (I've fallen ill and my voice is nearly gone).

Turns out im not a very good speaker so i wouldnt be talking but i could help send music and even getting you a webpage but im afraid speech isnt my best ability. I am even good at editing so i could help you do that, and i do have skype to commundicate so pm or email me if you want or need me.
