I'll probably make a function for cleaning up the inactive members, although it makes little sense until there's not a real member section on the site.

Hmm. This is a great idea. For one they take up space.

No they don't. An inactive account = no fanart, no message, etc... It's only one line in the database, which means nothing. But they take "space" in the members list, true.

I, for one, find this an excellent idea. I just remembered thinking how great it would be to do this. That thought came months ago though, and I forgot to mention it in the Suggestions. Thanks for bringing this up.

I would say that is a good idea, perhaps make it 6 months. 3 months isn't that long of a time to not be on the site,, some people are active members and can only get on every once in a while. Especially if they don't have access to a computer often.

This is great idea. I've actually passed through a few sites where they require that you log in at least once every 3 months or so or else they delete your account.
While Steet did say that each empty account only takes up one line of code, if you have many, many empty accounts, those lines do start to build up.

Something wrong with those of us that joined "back in 2006"? I didnt visit for over 6 months because I had no way of getting on...so did I abandon my account or the site? Would my account deserve to be deleted because I decided to join the military?
Not to mention, I hardly EVER visit the forums...so what is this "deletion" based on? Access to the forums? The main site? The rp/shout boxes? The number of posts divided by the number of months visited? The Pythagorean Theorem? A2+B2 = C2 Deletion? How do you avoid deleting the members that move or have no way on for greater than the time period allotted, but wish to come back? How do you KNOW which members those are?

I actually don't like the idea of an automated delete system... By the sounds of it, it'd get rid of accounts that haven't been logged into in 6 months?
If that were in place a year or so ago I would've lost my account. :/ Circumstances beyond my control meant I had no access to the internet whatsoever for about 9 months. Also, what if someone just stays on the main site? They sign up to the site and forums, have a look around and decide to stick to the main site but on the forums it'd still say "0 posts" next to their name.
