I'm fairly universal. I generally like any music that has a good beat, sometimes lyrics, decent polyphonics, and perhaps even the tempo.

Generally the styles I like are:
- Rave / Techno (Markus Schulz, Pendulum, Lights of Euphoria, et cetera)
- Metal (Axxis)
- Rock (Pearl Jam, Eric Clapton, Staind, et cetera)
- Soundtrack (Mark Isham, James Horner, Klaus Badelt, ???? for composing 80% of the O-kami Soundtrack, et cetera)
- Classical (Vivaldi: Four Seasons, Chopin, Beethoven, et cetera)
- Pop (Phil Collins)
- Europop (Eiffel 65 ... literally, Shiny Toy Guns, et cetera)

... and whatever other crap I listen to.

I will listen to anything in general, but never rap and over-the-top heavy metal.
I'm not going to go into what groups I listed to because even I have a hard time remembering exactly. I know, strange.

But my preferred type of music is instrumental music, like scores found in TV shows, movies, plays, and video games.

I'm more of Pop-kinda person... things like Miley Cyrus and The Veronicas are my favourites, cause it's got a good beat, awesome lyrics and it's catchy.
After saying that, there' plenty that would disagree with me, but I don't care.

I love the odd song or two like "That's Not My Name" by the Ting Tings or "Song About Ping-Pong" by Operator Please. Crazy and upbeat, I like that.

Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas I like, for absolutely no reason, besides a catchy beat. The singing isn't usually that great, and the lyrics are bleah but I love the catchy-ness.

Rihanna, too, is awesome.

All that Pop stuff aside, I'm a fan of Linkin Park, Simple Plan, Greenday and the like.

I don't mind Country, unless it involves singing. I mean, that I like the guitar music.

So in a nutshell, I'm a Pop or Pop-Rock sorta person.
