A podcast?

Lol, i don't really know if there's enough story out there Balto related, but i've been listening to alot of podcasts lately and it seems that alot of community websites have their own podcast. Some are better than others (go PotterCAST!) but i guess there are possibilities out there for Balto.

A fan fiction segment, for example. Maybe commentary episodes? They could also be used for letting the listeners know the recent updates and happenings here at BS.

What do ya think?

Are you talking about like a website radio? If so, I don't think it will be needed on Balto Source.

I get my podcasts from iTunes.

This was just an idea i had. I'm not sure if it'll happen or not. But, generally, a podcast is a regular cast of members to a specific website or fans for a certain thing. The people on the show (depends on how the structure of the podcast) discuss a certain topic or focus on one part of a story if it's part of a series. Normally, NEWS is the first thing recorded at the beginning then it moves over to other things. I think there's enough things going on here at Balto Source to carry a podcast, or at least, potential.

It could work, but.. Balto is dead with any interesting news! =(

The podcasts will need to be about mainly fan stuff or w/e from the site which just sounds to me like the site's front page thing in audio form. It could be made interesting though depending on who's talking.
(I don't mean to say that in some bad way, lawl)

It was just a suggestion. But i think it's at least a shot.

A team of members, generally moderators though i don't think that's required, need to volunteer to record one.
From listening to them, i've heard there's editing involved. I'm not sure exactly how they're recorded. The technical end of all that is confusing to me.

It should, but it would likely require download of those compositions - which are hard - if not impossible to come by (I hack the players and download them from there, but that's just my way to go).

There's alot of different segments that could be brought into the podcast. Such as Featured Writer, Top Fan Fiction, Interviews with the artists or writers. There's just alot that could be done with it. Plus, they're fun!
