Animation Source Forums

This question has been bustling in my head for some time now, since I first started officially making my Lost Genesis graphic novel (comic, if you will). What's your favovorite kind ("genre") of comic book?

Here's a list, but don't bash another genre/subject, I don't want to hear "wolves are overrated" or "kitty-cats are stupid," I want to know what your favorite kind is, NOT your least favorite. If your "vote" isn't on the poll, feel free to let me know!

This is an opinionated topic -- anything you say about your favorite comics will not be held against you. But be respectful!

I have a large variety of favorites, though I won't disclose them. This is "research" for my gephic novel, so I know what people like. Survey, I suppose. Mostly I want to know what people will expect out of any comic -- mine has so many organisms in it, I'll be sick of them by the time I'm done.

Feel free to inquire.

My favourite is wolves but I generally like ones about dogs, cats and werewolves too.
I'm not much into human based comics though I love anthro ones.
Comics revolving around animals with multiple animals in are also really good.
I've ot read many fantasy ones but I'd probably like those too.

I like mostly wolves and felines or horror and almost anything anime/manga

wolves and dogs All the way I like cats some too but im a dog person Anything wof or dog realated I probaly like

I tend to like most animal comics in general, regardless of what species the main characters are. However, I don't like comics where it's meant to be a natural setting, but all the characters have overly wacky and unrealistic designs. (would a real wild wolf have green fur and tonnes of piercings?)

well most of my comics are of a mixed genre. Some horror/mystery (hellboy, spawn) but mostly it's about a certain blue hedgehog.(Sonic if anyone doesn't know)

Comics 'bout vampires, by far, such as Hellsing and Vampire Knight and Chibi Vampire... It's probably all the blood and secrecy and stuff I like, plus the style... I dunno... < 333 I just adore vampires.
