who here has turned into an instant-vegitarian? we raided out freezer of various maple leaf products, but i'm still a pork chop lover. this is truly a sad thing because their meat has KILLED people due to laziness, and from now on i think their company will go downhill. oh sure, they can shoot apology adds every commercial break, but do you think anyone will listen??? what do you think?

A company that handles meats known as Maple Leaf has had a recall on it's products because it made people sick...It caused a sickness...So far I've heard 12 people died because of it in Canada. It was in the news actually...but maybe it hasn't been in America because it's a Canadian product...I'm not sure though. But I DID see it on the news.

As for myself, no I still eat meat. Just not Maple Leaf brand meat products.

No, I have always eaten meat, and I am in no way thinking about changing that. But still, whats so big about a recal? Yes it killed a few people, so what! I mean, it's a simple product, and like, things like these happen, so it does not change my thought for meat AT ALL, it's just the fact that that certain company cant handle meat the right way.

Well, cause I didn't understand what he was saying, plus I never herd of that company name. I thought he was talking about a maple leaf, from a tree. So I saw it as spam. But yes, If it was written over, it would make scence. There is no need to argue over this...

In actuality, the author of this topic states "maple leaf products". So while the topic indeed needs a bit more explanation and possibly some links to go with it, this is in fact a misunderstanding on your part. Mightybalto, I suggest you tread more carefully when you highlight something to be locked, as you do it far too much. This is a fine topic, and simply lacks explanation. You are not a mod, and while I'm sure you are aware of this, constantly going around policing topics for the sake of it makes you look like you're trying to act like a mod.

That aside, I don't believe I've ever heard of the Maple Leaf brand. Is it a local brand to a certain state or states? Or international? Because I sometimes hear of meat recalls on the news, and I haven't heard anything on this one.
