Hello guys,
Conay suggesting here, with another weird suggestion xD Anyway, my suggestion today is about the way to add links. We all know that you must PM/E-mail steet to add our links no? Well... I was tinking that maybe we should write it as a form, on the site, witch will send it on site (being checked by a moderators or by steet of course). I would say the form should look something like this:

Quote:
Website Name:
Website URL:
Website Description:
Website Category: *Use "Balto", "The Lion King" and "Other"*

or something along the lines of that, and if you want to make changes to your Link. (Because it would come up under your name) you can just use an edit tool like you can with Fanfics/Gamebooks Exc.

So, what do ya think?

I don't really like the idea. To me, that would replace the webrankers no?

To tell you the truth it isn't really clear what are you trying to say here. Do you mean make a topic on the forum or the section of the website of the sending area you know fan fics and fanarts? One disadvantage is there are already Too many BS copies and imitates of bs and lks. So probably the load of the links which will be send will be in a great amount and be a bit too much for Steet and the mods to handle because their both busy.

Guys, i'm talking about when you add YOUR own site.

But as for the Webrankers... Maybe on the mod panel there could be a tool where you add links without them needing to be checked.

Yea I meant your own site there are many BS Copy-cat sites then you can imagine. They do it to be admin or just for the power and then leave it dead eventually when no one comes there... So theirs really no point in making that easier since all that will do is put a load on Steet, Web brankers and mods.Who themselves are fed up of seeing people saying please join my site..

I agree here. It would just put more pressure on, Steet and the other webrankers. Balto source and Lionking source needs webranking, not the other way around....

But the site must be checked. If it is a complete BS clone than the mods just reject it. And as for Webrankers, when they do link exchanges they can use a tool witch will just add the other site ASAP.

Listen did you look on the affliates of Balto sites on steets site? there are majority Balto Sites. and its a promotional idea we need not a way to increase people posting links here. There are many in the other forum showing that this will not be a good idea

Basically, you mean that I should add a section on the site to send links. (you said "we", but you should know that I'm the only one who could add something like this)
But I don't think it's necessary. If someone wish to add a link to the site, that person only has to send me the link by email. I don't receive so many requests to add links anyway. And I prefer to keep control of what is added.

Yes, it's more the other way round that I'm looking for. I mean, BS already has a huge list of links, much more than the average website. But BS has not a backlink from each of these sites...

I added BS on my site and I will add Gamebook land soon.

But I was thinking maybe for you to completely re-fresh the links pages, so memebrs can start a fresh.

What?? Removing all the links? I don't think the site owners I have linked to would appreciate...
Removing links to site which doesn't work anymore, yes; removing links to sites that still works, no.

Hmm... How about sending the Admins of the sites an e-mail and give them say 5 days to reply, otherwise the link is removed?

That seems a bit labourious and unneeded for what you're suggesting.

Most fan sites don't have a form like that for people to submit links, a simple email is all that's needed and most links don't have a description for them and many don't even have an image button.
Steet's email isn't hard to find if you want to add a link, it's right on the links pages and you don't have to write an essay about your site, for example, when I sent the link to my forum, all I said was
"hey Steet, could you add a link to my Heart of a Wolf forum on the site, *link*. I attached a banner for it.
Thanks."
Not hard work. :] Plus there's the forum links sections too. Someone shouldn't need to update the link to their site very often at all so there's really no use for an 'edit' option.

Perhaps something for Steet to ponder over but not something that's really needed.
